He doesn't have to... he already has your money hahahahaha

And he deserves it -- for the honesty factor alone. Such as:
"the SD is not intended to mimic real cigarette smoking.. its a purpose designed e smoking device designed as an alternative to real cigarette smoking.. it works for us so should work for most others who want a feasible alternative to tobacco smoking..

its not a toy.. its not to be compared with xxxx product in entertaining ten minute videos.. we know it works.. so do its users.."

Have you got it yet and, if so, what are your first impressions?

I should have been more specific. I have just purchased one. Maybe I'm contrary, but this thread pushed me off the fence. I'd been waffling on a new PV and decided to stop thinking about it and just do it. I'm tired of changing the batteries on my 901 every hour or two or having a USB umbilical cord.

Frankly I think the problems of frequent battery changing are something we are all fairly actively looking to solve, one way or another.

The SD is famous for its battery life, so no more wires for you! Will you give us your impressions when you've had it for a while? User reviews are one of the best things about this place imho.

I'm meeting a fellow vaper next week, and she's going to let me try the SD. I can't wait. (And yeah, I'll probably end up buying one. Doesn't everyone? :D)

I didn't read the other threads. All I know is that about 15 minutes after I started reading this forum, it became exceedingly clear that the SD and its maker are the stuff of legends.

P.S. If I do buy an SD, that will mean I'm going from an RN4081 directly to an SD ... no 901s or anything in between ... is that, um, safe? 8-o

Certainly.

I can't promise the quality writing of other reviews. I write for a living and after sending 9 manuals to the printer in the last month, I'm out of words and can barely string a sentence together. "My undying love to Trog," or "I'm a sad panda," may be the best I can come up with.

hahaha the maker is definitely the stuff of legends but at least what you see is what you get with Trog

I'd have a go with a 901 first. Not everyone likes them - and the SD is based on that atomiser (mainly - I think Trog did some 801 adapters too - I'll be corrected if wrong!). If you don't like the way the 901 draws then you may not like the SD. Everyone has different tastes and it's great to try before you buy if you can. The best thing you can do by way of preparation is do a search on the SD here - stacks of info at your fingertips! Trog also has his own site (which he has been kind enough to let ECF users use in the past when this site was down).

If all you say is "It came in the post today" that will be fine. Time for a break - put your feet up and have a drink of something soothing....:)

pipe man... for a long time this place never had effective moderation..

during this period some rules were made to stop sellers spamming.. sellers were not allowed to post in certain forums.. the review one and the newbie one being the most important..

joe has had a rethink and the place now has effective moderation.. i think these rules could be changed..

with effective moderation.. spammers can be spotted and stopped..

my problems are simple ones.. i see nonsense being posted in the newbie forum.. i would love to correct some of it.. i cant.. no real problem there.. it just annoys me.. he he

but i do a have problem with anybody being allowed to post erroneous things about any sellers product in certain forums and the seller not being able to put things right because he cant post in those forums..

i cant even post in the bloody UK forum for example.. i cant figure any valid reason for that one..

anyways i think now we have some real moderators to watch over things.. these not being able to post in certain forums rules are a wee bit redundant..

we have a spammer problems of a different kind over in the screwdriver forum.. nobody is trying to flog e cigs.. just every bloody thing else on the planet.. we have seven moderators busy deleting the crap and banning the spammers..

one is called "Edith spam slayer"... "spam slayer" being a new title for an SD moderator... he he he

its like squishing flies... can get to be fun in the end..

As always, Trog - nice to see you again!

You posted some useful info tonight - thanks for that.

Hope all is well in the world of the SD! :)

SJ will, I'm sure, consider your comments re: rules.

The SD is not only my primary device, it's the only one that ever gets used. I love it. And I like Trog, and agree with most of what he has to say.

I closed the other thread for two reasons: I didn't say there was a violation, only that it was getting close to it, and with both Trog and Imeo in there, I could see it coming. I didn't want it to get to the point where it became a pissing match and infractions had to be given.

Second, and more importantly, the OP stated they'd made up their mind... which concluded the point of the thread. Leaving it open just for the sake of pissing and moaning seemed like a bad idea.

And you know what? It was my decision to make.
