I use it on my PT & charge my Iphone at the same time !!!! hahaha it rocks it will even power a laptop for a long time ,, read the specs

lol multitasking at its best! Yeah powering the PT I have on the laptop dips the amps down. I can tell because my laptop cooler fan sounds like it goes in slow mo when im vaping.. Figured id stop that to not mess the laptop up

mwa,
I've got the Imaxpower 8900mAh Portable Charger too… does yours shut down if you don't use the PT for a minute or so? I have tried using 2 different 5v manual PT's… am wondering if it would shut down if I were using an automatic PT. I have tried using the USB port on the charger and also the DC out port. Also… the charger itself shows 4 lights when fully charged, but when I go to use it, it only has 3 lights lit… thinking I need to send it back for replacement.

Ya ok I just got that IMAXPOER 8900 about two weeks ago in fact I got 2 of them and they work great for the Iphone as well as a pt

Wow, I just looked that up, it has a total capacity of 8800mAh! That thing would last a loooong time between recharges, lol. How much did that one cost you?

Yea, laptops are not very good for powering USB devices, usually with laptops you need a powered usb hub to get an extra boost for things like portable hard drives and stuff. I would definitely not use your PT on the laptop, especially since the fans were slowing down...

ok I didn't have time to compare,, but that 8000mah might not be what you think it is...
check out this thread where there was email correspondence on a particular power pack you will need to see what the output Amp that the pack can handle

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/88774-portable-5v-pt.html

also understand just because it works at a low mA doesn't mean its acceptable... it might blow the fuse of your power pack...it won't ruin your PT in either case though.

I had a knsten power pack rated @ 1A and my PT blew it... Ideal is 2A but the ecig type pt could acceptably use 1A-1.5A but again with caution.
