I have been becoming more and more curious as to the smaller volt mods that I have been finding recently. I am really curious as to their actual performance from people that own them. If you are the owner of a Bulli Slim, VP1 or VP2, Protege, Vapre 51 or one of the Diamond Series from Esmoke4life, please share your opinion as to how you like your E-cig, what your favorite atomizer is, vapor output and throat hit. Do you wish that your unit was 6v capable?

I own a Vapre51. I like the Vapre51 more than my JS because it works all the time and requires little maintenance. It's not as sleek, nor as finely machined as the larger battery mods (Super T, Silver Bullet, Adaptever, etc) but we're talking about small mods here, right? In a perfect world the Vapre would be an inch or two shorter as to fit neatly in my top pocket...
My favorite atomizer is the m201 followed by the BE112. I do NOT like any of the high bridge 801s. I have some Joye 302s on order for a trial also. As far as vapor output and TH are concerned the only advantage that the mods have over a basic pen style is longer peak voltage. A freshly charged pen style battery gives the same TH and same amount of vapor as the mods, just for a much shorter period of time/hits.
For your last question -- I have no interest in vaping at 6 volts or 5 volts, even. An atty that is designed and engineered to work at 3.7 - 4.2 volts that is pushed to higher voltages is asking for a shorter atty life, IMHO. For example; I have an 18 volt cordless drill on my workbench. If I was to nearly double the voltage to the motor it might spin faster or create more torque but more than likely I'd be shopping for a new drill real quick. <g>
And yes, I have tried vaping at higher voltages -- via my 801 PT. A stronger TH, no doubt but I find the taste of the liquid to be, ummm, drier. I don't care for it. Should I feel the need for a killer TH, I reach for some 36mg Camel (instead of my normal 16mg stuff) and drip it into my 510. Voila! Enough TH to satisfy a giraffe. =)
I've been reasonably successful at achieving TH sans using higher voltages. Choosing the right liquid, mixing liquids, adjusting nic strength on occasion and taking a slow/long hit works for me as far as TH is concerned. The amount of vapor that an e-cig produces doesn't matter to me. I mean, a properly functioning atty (be it filled with PG or VG) with a fully charged battery produces WAY more vapor than any analog producing smoke. In short, I don't need the vapor visual to reassure me that I just inhaled... that's what the TH is for -- at least in my case.
