8 Superminis, 7 Penstyles. Not as extravagant as it sounds though, as most of them are duplicates made from spare atomisers and batteries.

Full Device list:

Penstyles:

1 NJOY
5 Generics (no visible difference - I had to write N on the expensive bits so I can keep track of them)
1 Janty Kissbox Classic

Superminis:
1 Sedansa Nano 2 SC500_v2 Supermini
3 Janty Kissbox Yentl (2 extras made up from spare batts and atomisers)
4 Super e-cig Superminis (2 starter kits + 2 spare atomisers)

I smoke the penstyles round the house, and take the Superminis out with me to bars or restaurants. I hear very good things about the DSE901 mini - next on the wish list.

Penstyles:

2 NJOY with extra batteries
5 e-cig.com with extra batteries
2 Janty Classics with extra batteries
1 Janty Kissbox Classic with extra batteries
1 Meltrex's penstyle with 2 extra atomizers

Minis:
2 DSE901 but only one of them works.
(only smoke it because Mr. Darcy said I had to) LOL

Others:
2 - Cigarillo (1 works pretty good) - extra batteries
1 - manual cigar (for hubby - but doesn't work)

Now everyone sees why I carry such a large bag around with me to carry everything. LOL

I have 3. My first was an Njoy, second an E-Puffer, and third My e-cig from Benny. I like the pen style very much because I have a fascination with pens, especially collectible ones. I think they are cool-looking. My last purchase only came in white, so I'm going to paint it with heat resistant enamel paints to give it a designer pen look. I'll paint it when I'm done fooling around with it (had it only since July 19). If I can figure out how to post a picture, I will do so. I live in Ohio and don't want to mess around ordering from China. Now I must figure out how to buy cartridges and e-liquid. Any input on sources in the US (or Canada) would be greatly appreciated. I started this adventure as a result to stop smoking a pack /day of Swisher Sweets cigarette style cigars. I inhaled them and know it was very bad for my health. I am very thankful for this new gadget!

You've better hurry up on that paint job. The atomizer could kick off before the paint even dries! :D

Hey fishy don't get down in the mouth about still wanting a real cigarette. You've only just started using your new penstyle.

Every time you pick up your penstyle and use it keep telling yourself that is one less cigarette you are harming yourself with.

Every time you smoke a cigarette, think about the long term effects of smoking tobacco. Think about how the cigarette tastes, how it smells, and how it makes you feel. It wont be long before you find that you don't like cigarettes anymore and prefer using your penstyle.

Let your friends think what they want about what your penstyle looks like. It's what you think it looks like that is the most important thing.
And don't forget everytime you use your penstyle you are helping your health, not harming it. Those guys smoking cigarettes, you don't need them telling you it looks silly when they are the ones still doing something silly aren't they ?

Stick with it, keep on using it, in a couple of weeks you will begin to notice the improvement in the way you are feeling, then feel proud that you have made a life altering change for the better.

Tell your friends how much better you are feeling, it just might make then want to make the change too.

I know making the change you have is difficult, even more so in Asia where smoking is viewed differently than it is in the west. The right brand, the right way of holding it, the right way of inhaling and exhaling are all apart of the image of smoking in Asia, and the image is more important than the act of smoking.

So forget about what your friends think, stay true to yourself, you know you are doing the right thing, eventually your friends will know this as well.

......but this defeat the purpose of cutting down ...instead I feel I smoke more ...
I had the same experience of smoking more after starting e-smoking. It's been 3 months since I started.

However, in the last 2 weeks I noticed my puffing has decreased significantly and I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the road when I might be able to stop completely.

I needed to purchase 4 pen styles which I rotate throughout the day in order to satisfy my cravings. It's more relaxing this way; I only have change my batteries and refresh cartridges once in 24 hrs.

Good Luck

DevilFish, you're being too hard on yourself. Yes, some people can just stop smoking real cigarettes when they start e-smoking. But some cannot. It has little to do with "willpower" and perhaps a lot to do with your genes. But you need to stop worrying that you feel the need to smoke a real cigarette every so often. That's a common experience. Go ahead and smoke one. Do it with your friends and co-workers. Then, sometimes, when they're around, smoke your e-cig. Let them get used to it being a substitute. Tell them to achieve better health, you are substituting a new way of getting nicotine for the old, unhealthy way.

In that way, you become a leader by example. You're not the office nerd with a new toy; you're a smart smoker using a device that just might well be the entire future of nicotine use. We all like nicotine; e-smoking is a great way to get it.

By cutting out a few cigarettes each day, you might find that the urge to smoke decreases over the next few weeks. You might find that you actually prefer the better taste of flavored vapors than the harsh hit of burning tobacco smoke. I hope that's the case. Many here prefer e-smoking to real smoking. Some still do both.

You have taken an important first step to help your health. It's only a baby step, however. Walking into e-smoking is not always easy for cigarette smokers. You'll wobble for awhile. Stick with it, my friend. Don't feel any shame when you e-smoke. Feel pride that you found a better way.

And, doggone it, your pen style better come around and give you great vapor soon. That's really important when you first start e-smoking.

we have tried..

first the generic dse901.. without knowing we got it right the first time.. it took much money and the trying of others to tell us this thow..he he

e-cig.com minies.. from a smoke producing point of view they are not very good.. not good enough for my needs anyways. they do work thow..

e-cig cigarillos.. they work very nicely for a couple of day then turn into wimps.. i find this very strange but it seems the case..

e-cig pipes.. best out of the lot when dripped.. the only device i would simply pick up and take out any time and expect it to function all day and not let me down..

pen styles.. again okay but even thow they are bigger dont produce as much smoke as the generic 901 mini does..

usb power.. the idea is sound but mine lasted about two weeks cos the cable is rubbish.. the continued flexing breaks the too thin inner copper cabling..

overall i am disappointed with whats on offer and the frustration of trying to get reliable functionality from it on a regular daily basis.. but for the average user i would recommend the generic 901 mini.. dont expect it to last long.. but i feel it wont be around long in its present guise.. too many folks like the look like a real cig thing.. it dosnt..

one thing that always goes thru my mind.. some people have that many e cigs on this board and use them as toys.. nothing wrong here but i feel flipping about in this toy like fashion hides just how short a life span these things have.. and how simply useing one single device seriously to replace a real cig habit would fail most people..

i know this thing aint a toy.. and i need it to work for real.. the bottom line here is that they do not work for real.. or at least not without lots of user ingenuity and buying a new one every couple of weeks..

:oops:good advise ,

but as most of you know asian ppl like pride maybe?I admire europe ppl their brave attitude don;t care what ppl think and look about

but for asian here just don;t know why image is important
so I feel kinda regreat and ashame to take out my penstyle to smoke in public .feel I should buy a mini cigarette cos it look like real cigarette instead. But why I brought penstyle is becos many e cigarettes comment penstyle is more durable and give more smoke .just don;t...as now some claim some mini performance is same like penstyle.

so actually what the different performance between penstyle and those mini cigarettes?

today first day of e smoking
yesterday first got it and smoke quite alot of times till now

this morning still cannot reist the real thick smoke of real cigarette so take one

than from there keep puffing around e smoke till the time I left office.
never went to my company smoking area also kinda feel lazy too as now I no need go out to smoke .Can smoke in office.

miss the time going out smoke and see company babes walking by and smoking :pand social with different dept collegues. next also feel ashame to take out my penstyle cos don;t look like real cigarette
than while on my way to home from office same feeling again
while I saw ppl walk past me just feel shy to take my penstyle to smoke
again is image problem cos don;t look like real cigarette.

now suddenly feel kinda regreat buying penstyle instead the minis that look like real cigarette.but I don;t wish to buy any more as my 2nd order is reaching in my country by torrow or next I will recieved another set of penstyle + 2 atomiser .is kinda waste money just to buy the mini that look like real cigarette where by the money I can use to buy more cartridges for my penstyle.

again miss the thick smoke of real cigarette and took one.

total till now to midnite local time I only smoke 2 real cigarette.
maybe due to constantly smoking e cigarette which keep my cavering and gee I like an addict keep puffing hard on it.drag and drag , inhale and blow

yup as many mention today is just the first day I will keep e smoking and see how it go .:thumb:

That's me, alright. I'm fairly sure the batteries for my penstyles (5 survivors from 8 originals) are all rubbish. I must change the battery about 5 or 6 times a day. 2 of them are NJOYs and I haven't noticed any better performance than the generics. I am a very heavy user though.

In the 7 weeks I've been doing this, I've had the following failures:

Janty KB Classic USB cable, manual switch, auto switch. All died within a day of arrival. Replaced no issue
Sedansa Nano2 SC500_v2 atomiser & battery. Died within a week. Replaced no issue
Janty KB Yentl 2 x auto battery. Died within a week / immediately. Replaced no issue
NJOY penstyle atomiser. Died after two weeks. Replacement inbound from NJOY US.
Generic Penstyle atomiser. Died after two weeks. Haven't bothered
Generic penstyle battery x 3. failed at the rate of about one a week. Haven't bothered

Most of my 12 failures died almost immediately (including the spectacular replacement Yentl auto batt that never worked at all).

The success story is the Super eCig. 4 units, no failures. It is a light use device, though.

I do have a lot of e-cigs. Not as many as in a single packet of fags though, (my former daily intake). I only e-smoke now so I wouldn't say I'm playing with them.

Nobody can guarantee me that a device will last two weeks, so I'd never even consider trying to replace 140 one-time use fags with a single e-cig.

Remember that shops-closed-last-...-in-the-packet-feeling? That would be my constant state...
