So looking at all the new fancy touchscreen mods, I can't help but feel that someday soon, we will see Android based mods with apps, games, Blu-tooth and the ability to connect to your phone and allow you to read and respond to text messages and emails from your mod without having to take your phone out of your purse/pocket. They of course will be expensive but will find a niche market, just as smart watches, rings (Yes Fitbit makes a ring now) and glasses are starting to.

Remember folks, you heard it here first.

I want one that connects to ECF, uploads my device particulars and atty configuration and then downloads the settings for the perfect vape. No more of that "personal preferences" baloney.

That's almost like replay... just no ECF involved, and you do have to achieve the perfect vape once all by yourself..

They will be expensive only if and when they catch on. If they were to become popular, prices will come down, just like cell phones.

Cell phones have not come down, they just made cheaper, lower quality ones. The original flagships from Samsung and Apple are breaking $1000 now which is astronomical from their original first gen pricing.

The Apple I-Mod Xx, only $1499.99. Go ahead and laugh but people would line up -by the millions- to buy one.... even if they don't vape.

A couple years ago i saw a mod / celphone for sale online. It was not a smart phone. I don't remember any details about it but i thought it was a bad idea. Also have seen mods with flashlights, guess that's not as much of a stretch.

I have never seen a working cell phone mod. I have seen where people have converted an old phone into a mod but the phone no longer worked, and I have seen cell phone cases that have small Ego threaded mods in the case.

EDIT: Searching for one I did find one company doing it. Vaporcade.

Sad but very likely true. I used to joke (before he died of course) that Steve Jobs could poop in a can, call it the iPoop, and people would line up to buy it.

There actually was a Bluetooth connected mod that let you change the settings via a Bluetooth app and set a password on it so you could be the only person to change its settings. Unfortunately it was very cheaply made and it just took one drop for it to stop functioning for me (yes, I bought one lol).

There also was a cell phone that had a mod built into it. It was hella expensive though and only had mediocre hardware... so no one wanted to buy it.

No way I want a touch screen mod. I would likely drop it and crack the screen. Would be kind cool for it to remember the exact settings for the tank and juice combos I've got going tho. I take them off and forget next time I pick it up. I've seriously thought about stocking a piece of tape on them for labeling. That is rather nerdy though [emoji39]

How do you push the market for a battery box other than adding bigger numbers or more bells and whistles?
I agree @ScottP , it's only a matter of time before we see a networked mod, the IOT is apparently the next big thing. Just imagine the benefits of social media vaping and being able to share you puff counter stats with your mates, oh joy.

Personally durability, simplicity and reliability are the characteristics I look for in a mod. Heating a coil and vaporising liquid isn't rocket surgery, I just want to push a button and go.
