So I just came up with a build today new or not it is great and easy to build!! For all you flavorful cloud chasers out there!!!
Four strands of 28g wire twisted into one! Just like you would do a normal twisted coil but with four strands. Throw about a foot of that in your drill chuck get the other end on a swivel if you have one and clapton 'er up!!! I used 34ga wire but you can go higher or a little lower if you like!! It's much easier than a fused clapton since your only wrapping one wire however your core is composed of four core wires so you have a lot more spaces for juice!! I built mine about 8 wraps running at about 75w and man she throws some flavorful clouds! So that's it!!
( I'm not touching on resistance since you can make this build with any wire!!

I did something similar to this once, didn't clapton it with an outer wire, just 4x twisted 28awg NiChr80, 8 wraps @ 3mm ID dual coil came out to about 0.18 to 0.20, had to crank it up to about 60watts before vapor production was decent. Ran the dual coil setup in a Velocity Clone at around 90watts and full wide open, even then took about 2 seconds to ramp to temp on a Sigelei 150watt. Didn't last long as a build though due to battery efficiency.

I've done the same thing, thin wire twisted for coils then I got the Daedalus for putting on the outer winding. Now I straighten the wire and put that into the winder to put on the outer wrap. I made a set of tables with the gauge and the resistance for 4 inches of wire at different numbers of parallel wires (1-4). I use SS in temp mode, usually 340F with a 32 W preheat.

Still I'm curious what the resistance on that build is and how many watts does take until you finally get some vapor from it?
I was running about 60 watts my build was .14
This is obvious to some but I will state it anyway. I am using a regulated device with two cells 40amps etc... DO not run this on a single cell..

There is a video above, the pic is a video, he gets lots of clouds. I just finished putting in 2 .80 ohms coils SS in the Griffin mini 25 tank, total .40 ohms. 3 32 gauge wires with a 34 gauge outer wrap. Top airflow bottom airflow still adjusting them to get the best from it. The ribbon wire sounds interesting I haven't tried it yet.

I just threw a single strand 24ga spaced coil in an RDA. I'm beside myself....it's fantastic! Took me approximately 1 minute, 32 seconds.
haha, rebuilt two boreas' yesterday with simple spaced 24ga and am loving them both. I haven't done twisted 26 and triple twisted 28 in ages (been using up my clapton rolls mostly lately) but I need to give them another go.

So by ribbon I just meant the outer wire for the clapton I didn't use actual ribbon wire. But I will be picking some up tomorrow!!

Twist em up!!!! I can't decide if 26 or 28ga is better for this build the flavor and vapor productiin is what's getting me it's so amazing i put in some regular claptons after they tasted so muted...
