A Step Up, Recommend My Second Vaporizer

Well, I just bought and tried out my first electronic cigarette and my feelings are mixed. I got a Volcano, which I hear is similar to the Blu, what you call a JSB L88b. I also ordered some ejuice from a different company to start out as well: DK-tab, Clove, Coca-Cola, Camel Turkish and RY4 (which I think is "Riskee juice"). The Coca-Cola was surprisingly good. I haven't tried them all yet.

My primary concern after messing with everything for quite a while is the unit simply isn't strong enough for me. There are some other concerns. First the batteries don't last very long, maybe 20 minutes of smoking it seems like. I'm not sure if this is some defect of my unit or simply how it works. The instructions seem to indicate that a red light will display in the pack while charging and they say "once the light changes from red to green your V-battery is fully charged." Well my light never changes to green no matter how long I leave it in. It starts out red and then eventually, after maybe 20 minutes, the red light turns off and maybe flashes once in a while, but a green light never comes on. Defective charger maybe? Two defective batteries? I don't know.

My other concern is that it feels a bit like sucking a straw when inhaling. I'd like something with an easier inhale. Additionally, in the area where the battery connects to the atomizer there are little slots going all around it. These let in air when you inhale, which wouldn't matter too much except they also cause a small whistling noise when you inhale which I'm not fond of.

I do find it somewhat satisfying and it does produce smoke, but it just seems to me to be a little weak. This may partially because I really only smoke Camel Turkish Royals, which are very strong, extra-flavorful cigarettes. If you smoked Virginia Slims or Marlboro Lights I could see this maybe working for you. While the Volcano does give flavor it seems very weak in comparison. I can tell Tobacco from Vanilla from Coca-cola, but they all seem weak or lacking. I sort of feel like this could replace smoking for me if only maybe I purchased a different model that packs a lot more punch. So I've come to you, the experts. What models should I look into to dramatically step up from this Volcano unit?

First, I should say as of now I plan to use ejuices and I don't care all that much that what I get looks exactly like a cigarette. I do care what it looks like and happen to be attracted to aesthetically pleasing design, but I care more that the unit produces killer, flavorful smoke than it being a copy of a cigarette (though that's okay too). Any recommendations? :)

Riskee Yuice is actually an attempt to make a RY4 or originally ruyan#4.

I know on the PCC I have - a 510 - when the red light goes out the battery is charged - you might see if the batteries are charged after the light goes out. Could be different with yours though.

This last part is quite a good analysis that I find operative in what people like.

The 510, 901 both mini's are a step up as is the penstyle 801. The resistance in the 510 atty makes it run a bit hotter and in my experience produces more vapor. The more vapor produced, the easier the draw. The fact that it is a manual battery helps that, although now most models can be gotten with manual batteries.

Because the Joye 510 atomizer seems to fit what you're looking for, a 510 starter kit may be right for you but the 510 regular battery lasts 1-2 hours a bit less than the 901 and 801 and some other models as well but there is a 510 mega battery that is 2x the regular 510 batt. It's about an inch longer. Unfortunately, there are only a few places that have mega batteries in their 'starter kits' and the one is a Joye and has a lot more stuff in the kit and is expensive although probably worth the price and the other is a 510 clone which I wouldn't recommend - read some of the threads on them and you might understand why - basically stuck buttons. So you can either get an inexpensive starter kit at the oft quoted $35 price which is really good and add mega batteries or a mod later or you could put together your own kit of a couple of megas, a couple of atomizers, 5 pack of cartridges, a charger....

Just for example and you could do this with other vendors that sell the megas:
