If it is indeed patented, and if Sedansa's manufacturers didn't liscence the patented tech properly, and if Ludo carries through with legal action in whichever country he needs to, yeah, they might be. ;)

That's just not true. They were the first to develop and market a manual switch penstyle or supermini, and the first to produce a USB battery with integrated rechargeable battery.

Coming soon, they have a new design of e-pipe, the first with a replaceable atomizer [EDIT: oops forgot the Ladypipe. OK, the first with a replaceable e-pipe atomizer that isn't just a repackaged pen atomizer) and the first with a manual switch.

Also, they have a pocket e-smoker coming which is basically just a USB flash drive body with a battery and atomizer connector.

You can question whether they really have patents, you can argue whether they actually own their own factory, there are lots of claims theymake you can legitimatly dispute.

But to say they aren't innovators is denying reality.

Yeah, I've seen their new stuff. It isn't great. It's just the same old atomizer technology with new power sources and fancy new packaging. I'm not impressed. I don't find that as being "innovative" as much as I don't find those awful as seen on tv products innovative.

I will give you the manual switch though, that was innovative. But really, they're taking that train for as long as they can it seems.

in·no·va·tion
Pronunciation: \ˌi-nə-ˈvā-shən\
Function: noun
Date: 15th century
1 : the introduction of something new
2 : a new idea, method, or device : novelty

See, just by the very definition of the word, I think Janty qualifies; but, OK, then, who IS being innovative, if not them? Because no one else is even coming up with "new power sources" or "new packaging." The only break from the standard atomizer design I've seen is the LTv9. The 401 has a couple small design differences, but it's still the same heating coil and wick design. The ruyan may claim ultrasonic, but I couldn't see a difference.

In any case, I do see "new power sources" and "new packaging" as innovative, if they confer an advantage and haven't been done before. If they aren't then no one's been innovative since Ruyan made the first one, because every e-cig since has just been a repackaging of the same idea.

 you guys are very interested in the e-cig culture, which in my simple mind is just very complicated, why not just enjoy the great vapour and the wonderful chirstmas time, :D

By the way, How do you all celebrate the x-mas? I think to show the different celebrations should be very interesting, at least to a chinese who never experience a true x-mas holiday. :thumb:

Enjoy your wonderful time and Best regards to you and your family from a simple chinese ;)

david....thank you for your product, you very well may have saved my life(or at least given me years).im sure you are working very hard on designs and improvements..i use the 901 and it works very well already. i would like to make a suggestion though... your friend that wrote your first post speaks english very well, and i would highly reccomend that you have him rewrite the instrucion manual, mostly suggesting to help your product be more proffesional looking and may help the product to go more mainstream(if it goes to stores, people may want to see the manual before purchasing). i got the "point" of it, and even found it amusing, but i would say about 10% of it didnt make sense, and near half of it had grammatical errors. just a tip to help your business since you are helping me so much, so please dont think i am speaking poorly of your business..your english is much better than my chinese :)

their new omni is a pen with a manual switch. you can see the pics in the (slow-loading) PDF leaford linked to in his first post on that thread.

I did see the pic dc. I guess my point is....besides the pen style....the battery system is totally different....even the connectors are different. There's a power pack adapter....different cartridge types. I'm just not sure why you would ask David if it's the same model as his....unless I'm missing something here. To me, it's quite apparent it's not.

If I could, I'd post pix of the 2 models side by side but I can't seem to copy that Sedansa one.

I don't know sam, i just remember seeing the omni being a penstyle with a manual switch. thought they were similar looking and wondered if they were made at the same shop. didn't look to closely and I'm not going to open the pdf again on account of its excruciating loading time. but if they are different, well and good.

Hey thanks di! Now maybe others can see what I was talking about...lol

It may be a manual switch penstyle but that's about where the similarities with David's end...given the batt box is so close to the USB connector and the batt connector is totally different.

Wondering when this will hit the market?
