but cause and effect has evidence
this may be true but one way or another you will get back what you sow. either good or bad. its plenty simple if your lazy you get nothing if you work hard you will get somthing out of it....either it be money respect or a good feeling of self accomplishment you will get something in the end. And if your bad to people you will get caught in one way or another and the price is lost of respect and possible same in return what you put out. and that goes for being good to people you gain respect and get back what you do....i know sometimes you dont but its what you feel about it is what makes the most difference.:)

I wll tell you how I see it, and we all will feel very good.

If God does not exist, then:

what were you before born? nothing, so you were ok
what you will be after death? nothing, so you will be ok

If God exists:

where will you go after death? To God (only good persons;);))
Where will you go after your resurrection? Back to earth witch will be a heaven. (only good persons;);)).

So dont risk it guys, be good people because God maybe exists:lol::lol::lol:

ps......... If you know that in the forest there is a big bear who eat people would you go there?
Dont risk it. Be nice people. If you want to be bad, pretent you are nice making good things and do bad things only to yourself.

If people can seriously walk around this beautiful and amazing planet, and see the true wonders we are given in nature alone, and not believe theres a higher power up there something is wrong. I believe in a God, theres just too much proof to deny it. Fun fact. They have more factual proof of Jesus Christ then they do of our first president George Washington. I never try to force anything on anyone. But, the beauty and amazement that can be found on the Earth cannot have possibly have just evolved from water and dirt. We got here somehow, and we will leave her somehow also. Be grateful,

I for one was raised Byzantine Catholic, I was super agnostic for a while, then I came back and I go to a Roman Catholic church, and a Luteran church with my friend.
I really see no harm in believeing in God. If I'm wrong, what did I lose? NOTHING. If I'm right what did I gain...well...thats for God to decide I suppose.
Quoting Vaporich, I definitely agree with you. The world is just way too beautiful to have left this all to chance. To believe this all came from nothing just seems to improbable. I mean again, there is possibilty, but the chance of a higher being creating this seems much more practical IMO. So, I definitely believe ther is a higher being, whether it is God, or whatever you wanna call it.

There in lies the problem, the free will we were given. Religion is religion. We will all meet our maker, at one point in time. It is clearly evident, when one is spiritual grounded to whoever he or she feels is there higher power, things in there life seem to go a little easier, good surrounds them. Etc. etc. Wethere u believe in a tree, the sun, god, whatever, it doesnt matter, we just need to treat each other with common respect.

Agreed, I'm taking a comparative religion class this semester and I'm really looking foward to it. I for one respect all religions and feel there is something we could learn from anyone of them, wether it be hindu, buddhism, or catholicism. Wheter it just be enlightening ourselves about them, or grasping ahold of views and ideas from them. Its great to learn.
A great program I always end up listening to is Focus on the Family, its follows the Christian route but really hits some really critical points and has great views on things, if anyone would like to check it out. Dr. James Dobson is a great man. Listening to him helps me get through some days. :)

If we supose that all things were made from water and dust then who make water and dust? Who made the first thing and the others came after that? Are they exists from always? And what is always? How long it is?

Some things cant be catched by human mind.

The universe has many dimensions as the scientists said. Can you understand what other dimentions are? We understand other dimentions as a point understand the meaning of heigh.

So as vaporich said "be creatful"

And as zestok said: "beleive, you have nothing to loose, only earn"

i have a story for you.
A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question. “Did God create everything that exists?”
A student bravely replied, “Yes he did!”
“God created everything?” The professor asked.
“Yes sir, he certainly did,” the student replied.
The professor answered, “If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil.”
The student became quiet and did not answer the professor’s hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, “May I ask you a question, professor?”
“Of course”, replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked, “Professor, does cold exist?”
“What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?”
The other students snickered at the young man’s question.
The young man replied, “In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat.”
The student continued, “Professor, does darkness exist?”
The professor responded, “Of course it does.”
The student replied, “Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton’s prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color.
You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn’t this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present.”
Finally the young man asked the professor, “Sir, does evil exist?”
Now uncertain, the professor responded, “Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man’s Inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.
To this the student replied, “Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God’s love present in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light.”

I totally agree with your prior post and that the beauty of the world signifies the existence of God or a higher power.

I respectfully disagree with (only) the bolded portion above. Many believers have suffered by the hands of those will ill intentions - free will. God is there to comfort and guide us through these trials and tribulations.

There is evidence of Jesus the man yes (but interestingly no eye witness accounts since the gospels were written some decades after his supposed death by the writers of the gospels who ever they were who weren't alive at the same time as Jesus).

Here's one eye witness account of George Washington :

Washington Crosses the Delaware, 1776

I never try to force anything on anyone. But, the beauty and amazement that can be found on the Earth cannot have possibly have just evolved from water and dirt.

There is at least some evidence for abiogenesis and none for what you're purporting.

We got here somehow,

We evolved from a primate precursor

and we will leave her somehow also.

In a black box

Be grateful,

Yes, we can be grateful that by chance we came to have one life.

We truly do not know for a fact that we evolved from primates due to the controversy over the size and shape of the skulls being investigated....although our genetics are in close relations to the primates but it only proves that we share common genetics not distant cousins. Yes we do evolve but the evolution takes millions of years to make those changes. But with all of the climate changes and disasters in earths history there are still to many missing links with the evolution of humans in the time line. Not only that but our brains are different in many ways compared to the primates and for those kinds of changes we're talking millions of years to take place.
