I dont know about becoming a master but I am having fun. Made a pumkin cheesecake this afternoon thats real good and a brandy egg nog thats hard not to vape but want to see what it does after sitting a few days. The Creamy pumkin pie I made this morning I already went thru two ml of it lol
If you don't mind, could you post your pumpkin pie recipe? Might want to try it for myself.

Don't underestimate how important you nic source selection is...after trying quite a few sources I've settled on VT as the cleanest so far...heard good things about Nude Nic but haven't tried it...I prefer by a longshot Inawera, Hangsen and FlavourArt flavors...but that's just me and some other's I suppose...

Right now I am using what came with the DIYFlavorshack kit I ordered but have 120 ml of 60 mg nic and 250 ml of both PG & VG coming from Wizard labs and then I ordered today from MFS 1 liter of 100 mg nicotine plus 500 mg each of PG and VG because I dont know how much longer nicotine will be on sale.
As for flavors I have bought a bunch of cappella's TPA TFA FA and some concentrates from Central Vapors. CV has some not bad ejuices so went ahead and ordered some flavors from them. Found a ton of brand name flavors on ebay also for a decent price. Probably over 200 flavors.
I know I went off the deep end with my OCD but there is a method to my madness. Mid November I am suppose to go out of commission for an abdominal wall rebuild for a hernia which is suppose to lay me up for a couple months. I know I wont feel like walking the long driveway of mine (500') for at least a month after getting out of the hospital so best to be well stocked now. After everything arrives and gets stored (well hidden) I should not need a thing for at least a year or two.

Hello HDMontana, I found it on Ecgexpess this morning.

Creamy Pumkin Pie
makes 10 ml juice

8ml unflavored base with nic
1.25 ml pumkin spice
.75 ml vanilla custard

They said to use Flavor West, I used Flavor Apprentice and it came out awesome! Gonna make a 20ml batch tonight so I can see how good it is after steeping for a few days.

Well guys its day three of mixing for me and its a lot of fun but can be tedious also. I learned a few lessons so far. First off all drops are not created equal. I was wondering why some of my mixtures tasted good but the flavor was light. Was mixing up a concoction last night and it was my last one for the night so went ahead and added the drops to the 10 ml beaker I been using. The recipe said add so many drop or so many ml. I counted out the drops and it wasnt even close to the amount of ml it was suppose to be. So now I am measuring out by ml instead of counting drops. Lesson learned.
Lesson number two, my eyes are not as good as they use to be. I couldnt really see the graduates on cups and beakers or even syringes. What i started doing is place some scotch tape on the beaker or syringe and mark it for the amount I need then work from there.

Yesterday was working in the yard with the missus, her brother was helping us and a friend. Of course the mail lady had to come up the driveway and drop off my wizard labs order at the door but I got lucky. When the misses took her brother home I went and checked what the mail lady dropped off. Missus came home and asked what the mail lady dropped off and I told her a box and left it at that, she didnt ask any more. lol

Well so far I used about 100ml of my 15mg nic 50/50 base solution so will have to mix up some more today. My tobacco experiment is coming along fine and I made some real good juices so far. Found an apple fritter recipe last night thats very good and tried another pumkin pie recipe. Been using a smok 306 dripper for taste testing and that has turned out to be invaluable to me. Just wish it was a little bit bigger.

I figured out that I can take 2 pairs of drugstore reading glasses and put one pair on over the other. That is the only way I can see well enough to re-wick coils. There are high-power magnifying glasses out there too, but probably more expensive.

That sounds good,it took me a minute to get %'s worked out from those numbers to try a smaller batch, but definitely going to try that one.I'll have to change up the pg/vg too,it's getting cold and my 70vg mixes are already giving me trouble wicking, that's a big downfall of cold weather haha.

I have some bifocals that I try not to wear too much. They suck for up close work because I had them set for flying. I can see distances as well as read a check list and i try to work with them but its hard. I really need to go get a new pair but the real funny thing is I can sit and read a normal off the shelf paper back with no problems. Read 500 pages with no eye strain at all.

Well doc, getting your prescription updated and a new pair of glasses is one expense you probably won't need to justify to your wife.
But I can identify; my wife has always needed her glasses as long as we've been together, and I have always had to pester her to keep her prescription up to date and buy new glasses. Now that my eyes need help, I'm the one that needs pestering to take care of my vision. Why is it harder to take care of ourselves than others?

I dont know about others but I just dont want to slow down long enough to take care of myself. Maybe 5 years back I had a stomach hernia that I didnt pay too much attention to. I didnt hurt so why bother with it. I was at work and it was the night before thanksgiving and we was about to get off for our week off cycle and I noticed my stomach was red with red lines coming off it. Its thanksgiving and I dont have time to mess with that so ignored it. Then I got flu symptoms and was very sick for the rest of the week. Come time to go to work I told the missus to take me to the ER. Turns out my hernia strangulated, died and was rotting in me. Doc said if I waited one more day the chances was good i wouldnt of made it. Now thats cutting it close.

I tried my hand at DIY a year ago or so. I could not get anything to taste good... All my mixes seemed to have the same kinda taste underlined within it that I didn't like. No matter what flavors I used.

I now think that my Nic, VG, and PG were the main culprits to this issue. I have been really wanting to get back into DIY because I've been spending so much money on juice and because I only seem to like a few flavor profiles. Many of the juice I try I don't like.

I was wondering if anyone in this thread could point me in the right direction of were to get good quality Nic, VG, PG? I wanna make sure I'm starting with the best possible and that the company I buy it from stores and ships it in a way that doesn't alter the quality or taste at all.

There are just about as many opinions as to "what's best" as there are folks that participate in this Forum! :)

For instance...Nicotine..here...

Ron is right, there is a ton of opinions out there. Seems that most people favor MyFreedomSmokes and Wizard labs but also only heard good about Nude Nicotine. What I recieved from DIYFlavorshack was fine. I have 250 ml of VG, 250 ml of PG and 120 ml of 60 mg nicotine I recieved from Wizard labs yesterday that I havent mixed up yet but if it taste bad will let everyone know.

I am going to ask this question because I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Why did you chose 60mg nicotine and what was it mixed with (PG/VG) and why? I can't get my head around all the different choices. I want to pull the trigger on a small DIY set up to give this a try but the nicotine part make little since to me and I have been unable to find answers for why I would chose what for this part of mixing.

Thanks

The mg was in his kit. I use 100mg. I prefer pure vg so mine is 100% vg based. Easier math. Pg is throat hit and I drip exclusively so pg is a nogo for me. All my flavors are vg based. When I mix for other people I just dilute with pg for proper ratio

So the easy math part for me if I were mixing 50/50 would be to use a 50/50 nicotine mix? What if I want to try something differant? Will the calculators fix this?

I know too many questions! Maybe I should just skip this part of the party!
