My first thought when my mini arrived was that the button was slightly too low. Once I popped an extension cap I realized the reason was because then it was in the perfect place! I rarely use the extension cap, because I find the whole setup too big, and I've got used to the slightly odd button placement

Silly question: Is there a difference in the way the button placement feels between the two models? I've never held them, and it's difficult to tell from pictures. Do you have to hold your thumb noticeably lower on the mini? I suppose you can just slide the mini higher up in your hand, but then will it feel top heavy? I can't decide which one to get. I guess a mini with an extension cap could solve any problem I have holding it, and I doubt I need a 18650 anyway.

Also, is it ok to leave the batteries charging over-night?

I've always got some batteries in the charger overnight. Sometimes this is the only time I can charge them, so that's when it's done!

It sounds like you would be happier with the full size, but no Provari is a mistake. And as far as getting the extension cap? As a Provari owner you will want to buy every gadget, enhancement, geegaw, and accessory available. But that's the post purchase fun. So get the Provari that looks best to you now, there are no mistakes here, then accessorize away for the next few months. Hit that buy button, it's just a click away, you won't be sorry!
