Now that Steve has the V2 out, thought it might be nice to look at possible accessories for his products.

The one I though up would be for the Protege USB Extension. When you pull out the battery and the end cap, where do you put them?

I thought that a small plastic tube with the same ID as the Protege, one end closed and the other tapped with the same threads as the end cap would be a great place to keep these parts together. Also once you put your battery back in, slide the part of the USB Extension into the tube to protect it from shorting on anything.

Since the metal tab on the side will scratch the plastic, make it opaque. And maybe a nice PureSmoker logo on the side.

Any other idea's out there?

hey guys :)

Both a good and cheap case and holster has been found (for the Prodigy V1 atleast) which should be perfect for the V2.

Now off to find the old threads. will report back in a sec.

but but... I was hoping for a nice black leather one with the pure smoker name and logo stamped into it :D

Steve,
Now that's more like it. I'll have to make a trip to Walgreens tomorrow. By the way turned the round side up on the post 24 hours ago and haven't had an issue with my switch since.

Hey Harpo! Like I said ... nice, cheap, and easy to find Case! Although not the prettiest thing, if it gets the job done ... who cares!

Yeah, Saw that several of you guys flipped the posts ... The original design had completely round contact posts, but Steve (being the non-engineer that I am) felt that there needed to be a bit more surface area. Yeah, Steve is wrong ... Quite Often ... But atleast I'm trying !!! haha ... So, we started machining the posts with a flat edge! Just happy to see you are chugging away Harpo !!!

I have kept mine flat, on both of my devices, and really haven't had much of an issue without an adapter adjustment ever few days. Otherwise, I haven't had any. I do like the fact the mechanical switch is easily user friendly :) Definitely a step up from the old tact switch days :)

Nice thanks Steve. will pick one of those up for now, but I guess I'm gonna have to go down to my storage building and find all my old leather working stuff and make the one I really want :p

There's nothing like the feeling when you make something yourself ... Feeling like you accomplished something! Go get em tiger!!!

Don't forget to post pics RFW! Would love to see it when you get finished :)

No adapter adjustments need yet. I'll keep you posted. Go to bed it's late in your neck of the woods.
