I've got titanium wire in my ego one clr head, and I think i'm getting hot spots or hot legs. Although I have access to the coil whilst it is fitted, how can i adjust as one shouldnt dry fire titanium (so I've heard)?

Do I need to do more adjusting by guessing before I load it into the head? I'm new to coil building and not got much equipment and the wire is still bendy off the reel because i've not got a power drill to straighten. Therefore, once i've wrapped the coil i've got to bend the legs straight with tweezers and sometimes the legs get a small kink in one side, would that cause problems?

Never worked with titanium wire, but any other types of wire (SS,kanthal,Ni) when doing spaced, I just wrap them as close together as possible, then spread them out as far as possible without deforming it, then compress them (do this on the drill bit or whatever your using to wrap the coil) makes a perfect spaced coil everytime. A coil winder like the one I have will help make good coils also.

Also not sure if your kink will cause problems, mined never kink or if they do I just rewrap.

Dry burning titanium isn't a good idea. Anything used with TC needs to be spaced, not compressed.

Clean the wire with alcohol and some cotton before winding the coil. Soak the cotton with alcohol, hold one end of the wire, and pull the cotton from end to end to get any contaminants off the wire.

I've only been using Ti for a couple of weeks now, but yeah, you gotta wrestle with it some times, it's pretty stubborn stuff.

If you measure the resistance before installing the coil and then put the head on a 510 Ohm meter you can keep a better eye on what you're doing. If the resistance drops while manipulating it you've shorted it somewhere and you need to re-adjust.
