Advice for buying an ecig for someone else

Hi, I'm trying to help my mother(who is 62 now) switch from regular cigarettes to ecigs. She's getting far too old to be smoking like she does(1-3 packs a day), and can barely breathe, has trouble even going up the steps without running out of breath, etc.
I got suckered into buying Zerocig from a review  and it's not very good, produces barely any vapor etc.

I found this forum and took some time to study on what to buy, etc. I saw this https://www.myvaporstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VVS-C&CartID=1 bundle kit(and the products themselves) recommended a few times, but I'm worried that she won't like it if it's too big after smoking regular cigarettes her entire life.

Can anyone give me a size comparison on how big the 650 twist mAh batteries are? Are the 1300 spinner ones bigger?
Are there any ones closer to actual cigarette size that are worth buying?

Thanks for your time.

In MY experience, speaking just for myself as a 30+ year pack-a-day smoker, I doubt I'd have stuck with it if I'd kept up with cig-alikes only. They just weren't consistent enough, and the flavor/vapor production was, at best, 'blah'. I'm glad I tried them for the two weeks I did though, because it wasn't until I got a simple eGo/clearomizer setup that I knew, for a fact, that it was 'doable' for me, to get off tobacco and vape exclusively.

Edited to add: sorry I can't add anything to that. I've only used my little eGo 1100 mAhs setup with clearos so far. They're not even vv or anything. When they die, I plan to upgrade to something better.

The regular 650 eGo's with a clearomizer are almost exactly the same size as a standard sharpie marker. The 1000's are about 1cm (~3/8") longer. Unfortunately I have no idea about the 1300's

I just bought my first unit on Saturday. I thought the size would be an issue for me, but I got over that rather quickly.

Good luck with your search!

I'm 60 yrs young :D and own both the Spinner and Twists. Unless she has great eyesight and a good grip you'd be best getting the Spinner. It comes in various sizes:

I would say stick with the link you have there. There are a few cig-a-like models that perform fine (such as an e-cab), but they bring along plenty other hassles like:
-recharging often (and total lifespan)
-refilling often
-replacing atomizer heads often

I don't think she'll have much trouble adjusting to an ego model, there's thousands of vapers who did and they're both old and young.

I have a 650mah twist and I'm interested in the 1300mah spinner because I believe it is only marginally taller, while a little bit thicker, making up twice the battery life, so that sounds good to me! I'm actually going to be getting the kit that is linked by the OP because I think it's a great deal and now they offer it with the EVOD! Also MVS has provided me with GREAT service on all my orders. I recommend getting some nice juice, and that kit and your new vaper will be stoked! The T3s are what I would recommend though if she doesn't want to be refilling more often. Beyond that, I'm going to recommend the MT3 as it can match the finish on the battery and is a little bit thicker to match the width of the thicker 1300mah spinner.

The volts are one of two or three "cig-a-likes" that really put out vapor. And the cartridges are refillable several times if you buy your own juice so a handful of them will last a long time. I don't know any better deal out there for a beginning vaper. They have lots of reviews on their website and on youtube. I started with a volt like this and was really happy (until I got a man-sized mod).

Edit: I think they offer a money back guarantee, too.

Disclaimer: Smokeless Image, the maker of the Volt, did donate a large quantity of volts for me to give away to the seniors in my church that are trying to quit smoking. But I only asked them because they have such a great product!

My first attempt to quit the analogs was a cig-alike from Wal-Mart called Fin. It was horrible and I put it away almost immediately. I saw my sister a couple of weeks later and she had this strange contraption that looked a bit silly to me, then she told me to try it. I was hooked from that moment on, I went home and ordered the exact same thing. I got an ego-T battery with a vision clearomizer. I have changed tanks many times since then but I will always love me ego battery. I bought 2 more in fact, one was a Vision Spinner VV battery, another ego battery, the second was just another ego-T and I love my batteries and my vaping experience.
