I use my Nemesis in the shower, it's usually fairly wet but it's mechanical so it doesn't matter as long as it's not crazy wet or submerged, I also use it on my boat, in a raft floating in the water. I'm about to use it in the pool in about 20 min.

WHAT???
I know my sigline sounds extreme, but it was just a joke... vaping in the shower is just ridiculous!!

Or find a cheap nemesis Clone for $20 in the classifieds and just don't let it sink. I regularly shower with mine and float in the lake.

You're really not joking??????????
do you realize that if water gets into the battery shrink wrap, it could blow on you? I know the odds are slim, but they're not zero!

Other than the overboard losses and the wetting issues, you might also consider that vaping while bouncing up and down can be hard on the teeth. I encounter this when using my riding mower. You might want to carry a soft tip for this occasion.

Good point; I've been thinking I should use my plastic tip since this is pothole country - Almost chipped a tooth the other day on my stainless tip...

To the OP, sounds to me like someone is about to float the Brazos. Have a ball. I would go with a mech if you must. If you dunk it the worst you have done is ruin a battery. Just keep some cotton handy for re-wicking the topper. Also a few extra batteries. Have fun and make sure you don't forget to put sunscreen on the tops of your feet when tubing.

I wouldn't take my provari on a trip like that either. I spent way too much money on it. But I would get one of these KING II Style Mechanical Mod Stainless Steel and use an old tank that you don't care about. If you drop it in the water, just fish it out and air dry. IF you lose it... So what? It's only 25 bucks anyway. If you lose the tank, you didn't really like it all that much anyway.

Edit: You will probably love the King II. But if you lose it you can just buy another one. You will be 50 bucks into it if you have to replace it. But that's still less than what the B&M's are charging for them.

I appreciate the advice that's been coming in.

Mech mods are not an option for me. VV (or VW) is a requirement, even if it's a basic eGo twist/Vision Spinner level of VV. I understand why people are recommending mechs, but I'll go with some kind of VV setup.

Have fun and make sure you don't forget to put sunscreen on the tops of your feet when tubing.

Roughly 35 years ago, I learned that "sunscreen on the top of your feet" while doing whitewater canoeing down on the Guadalupe. (Same area we're headed this time.). I had a deep tan and wasn't worried about sun, but my feet apparently weren't tan, and I was in the canoe all day without shoes or sunscreen. Horrible sunburn on the tops of my feet. I'm not likely to make that mistake again. :)

We go canoe camping for a week every year. Everything you want has to fit in canoe, no services. I use a dry box, S3 brand. They have similar at Walmart. I have not been since I started vaping, but have turned the canoe over in white water with smokes, wallet and cell phone in this box and they stay 100% dry. The box can be completely submerged and the contents stay dry.

But I still agree with the reply that you should not take anything that you are not willing to give to the river. One guy had same box and failed to close it properly when he dumped his canoe, and guess what?

The box could also just slip away and be taken by the current or sink straight down if it's too heavy.

Yeah, I did the same floating the Brrazos. I had neat little blistered squares where my sandals didn't cover my feet. Not something you do twice.:p

had a similar situation this weekend, and since we're all adults here.........(puts on flamesuit)....

i just rocked a pack of cigs. if they fall in the water, they fall in the water. Nemesis still safe at home in the drawer.

:vapor:

:grr: They better all fall off the boat with one of them attached to your lips!

But seriously, is this a motor boat? Have you thought about how bad you would feel paddling after having a cancer stick???? Why not just buy a disposable e-cig instead? And will you be disposing of cigarette butts properly by bringing it back with you?????
