AFS and 901 atomizers

No the problem is not the center pole touching it is more the threads of my adapter dont mesh with the threads on the V2's internal connector for the 901. So what imeo says to do is to take a tiny bit off the threads because they are too deep. The SLB must be made with a good sharp thread cutter and the RN with an older one that doesn't cut deep. So the threads on the AFS are cut too deep for the RN or my adapter for 901 to 510 to thread onto it. The thread pattern is exactly the same just too deep or tall for the RN or my adapter. Does that make sense?

Honestly, I have had leaking problems lately with the mouthpiece, and with or without the mouthpiece. Same thing every time. Reassemble the afs, and after a couple of hours, I have to wipe it down. The seepage then becomes a leak, and I'm taking a suit jacket to the dry cleaners. Damned annoying.
I've cut the round piece and installed it around the base last night w/o the top and bottom o rings. I'm NOT going to say 'it seems to be working' because I'm convinced that's become a jinx for my AFS. I've loaded it with dark purple grape ejuice to make any leaks easier to see.
On the positive side, the blue disc brass base seems to have enhanced the vape of the mod, still good taste and more vape volume with my 80/20 mix.

Emonty, try the LR Atty's with the V2 and the 18650 High Drain Batt, this is the ultimate set up I have found that puts out the best vape yet with my AFS, I don't seem to have all these leaking issues everyone is dealing with, I only open my adjustable draw about 1mm and when done vaping close it again. I also have been using a 510LR/510HV/Carto's on my V2 and it all works, there are just adjustments that need to be made to make it all work, I am also now using my original AFS with 901Attys as well, adapters people adapters !!!!!im just tired of holding onto all the things that can be done with this AFS, if you branch out and ADAPTERIZE SOME THINGS a whole bunch of stuff will work with the AFS. for example grind down the side of a 510 and poke the smallest hole in the side of a 510 and fill your AFS and give that a rip and see what happens,,, clouds clouds and more clouds of vapor people, it's all about making some small adjustments and figuring it all out for what you want to vape with, The AFS Imeo has created for all of us to use and use as seen fit, I truly believe Imeo will be having additions to these AFS units he builds for all of us in no time at all, he has too there are to many good things that can be done with the AFS and Imeo knows this and will out do himself again very soon I beleive with some even better additions to AFS
What's the difference between the white fluval and the blue foam? I have the white stuff called "water polishing pad"....
Man, I am loving the cartomizer in the AFS. I have one in my beta tank now and it is working so darn well...Why didn't I try this months ago? We really need to push for some blank cartomizers @ 5ohms and 2ohms, no sticker, with a 1.5mm hole.... Maybe this is the easiest, most user friendly, and cost effective solution to the AFS.

MWA, have you tried using the 510 without drilling any holes in the atty? I wonder if the two air inlet holes in the sides of the threads on the 510 atty will pull juice into the atty and the center pole breath air. I know we would be submerging the 510 totally inside the tank using an adapter but it should work fine as the parts are usually covered in juice all the time anyway. Might actually help is last longer by keeping it cooled off. I am going to try sanding down my threads on the V2 brass part tomorrow so my 901-510 adapter will fit, I don't want to take it apart just yet because it is working so well.
Vapn I have all Atty's working perfectly and cartos running awesome too, I have no holes in my 510, I tell emonty to try a hole because I didnt think he had the same adapter I have for my brass fitting and a hole will also work but no needed if you have the sleeve I have made up, the only one I am still working on and im almost there is my HV 801'S and I'm very much looking forward to having the 801 running for its my favorite Atty.!!
Just loaded a LR 901 on the V2 AFS with an 18500 battery in the GGTS and it works flawlessly. It's actually about 2mm shorter than the GG Grant now. No modifications at all to the LR 901 either. I did put back on the o-ring on the brass connector to draw more liquid into the atty. O-ring on the small cap is the only one I have off. Vapes just like an i6 at 6 volts.
ok thanks for the tip. I have LR 501's on order and when I will get them I will for sure give it a go. the adapter I have is a regular 901 -> 510, will that work or do I have to make modifications to the brass connector and drill a hole? Also I would like to know how long the LR will last, as I read from Vapen that they will burn out quickly. Take care!
My first 901LR lasted a week. It was my fault because I let it get too dry. I just tried a cartomizer and OMG it is amazing. I tried it a 6 volts with peppermint and it about knocked me out. I went to 5 volts and it's perfect. Way more flavor than a 901 but I may have to cut down the nic. 24mg and I'm getting a head rush. Thanks to everyone who suggested and gave tips on how to use a cartomizer in the V2.
report: 1 atom SLB 901 without modification, smoking at 6 volts lasted five days, a TW atom is smoking very well since two days to 7.4 volts
Yes, they fit perfectly, the trick is to tighten the nut very well in the GGTS's upper cap
I am confused now lord. TW atomizers that I have dont fit on the brass connector because they have slightly shorter threads. Maybe the new ones are ok?

Lucky, lucky.... I might have to try a few of my others now....hehhe... I was able to get my adapter 901-510 working but only after I sanded down my threads on the AFS brass part. O and by the way, I was not happy with the juice flow on the 510 without modification. It needs a bigger hole for juice to feed properly.
