Imeo I have to hand it to ya, this AFS is working better than I thought. I was so use to 801's and 510s and I had the worse luck with 901's that I didn't think the AFS would be good for me. But now I am in vapen heaven. What ever you do dont change these atties for the AFS they work great.

If the new AFS works works better than this then we're in for a treat. :)

Nice to hear that you are pleased with AFS my friend Grimmer and I ensure you that the new AFS works like a real cig. You grab it and smoke without leakage and without learning curve at all.:):)

Nice pic grimm.....quick question....is the shiny end of the cap where the cart sticks out or where it screws to the GG? I know it's a silly question, but I just need to make sure. I have mine with the groove end screwing into the GG, and the shiny end was where I placed the cart.

Are you talking about the AFS? If I understand the question correctly you are asking if the cap of the AFS with the cut out part facing the GG is correct.. ? The flat one IS where you place your mouthpiece. That cut out groove is where the air vent hole breaths on the 901. But with the cartomizer holes on the GGTS (and other GG models with cartomizer ready caps) adaptor we are not worried about that vent hole on the 901 anymore as we get air from the center pole now and too much air flow will decrease your juice flow.

Good and bad news....I love the AFS as the vaping goes, but have had 3 of the atties go out (direct short) this past week. I'm vaping at 3.7v and it never had the burnt taste of running dry. The first atty lasted 3 days, 2nd about 3 hours and third about an hour. At $18 a pop that gets too expensive. These are the only atties that I have had go out in the entire 2 months that I have been vaping. Bad luck streak,,,probably, but just too expensive. I am gonna have to figure away to adapt cheaper atties to this or just forego the pleasure. I will definitely miss the vaping pleasure for sure.

Thanks Lisa I just saw your post... I am very much enjoying the GGTS and AFS. Unfortunately I don't have anymore AFS atties because they are not working, but I do have more coming in soon. I think I finally came up with a solution until the new AFS for the GGTS comes out. I just hope Imeo has some atties ready to go with it.

The GGTS is a beautiful vaping machine. It simply works and simple is what works best....lol...:) Oh hows cloud 9 going for ya?

Sorry to hear you'v had trouble with these atties, have you contacted Rob or Imeo about this? Perhaps they can help.

It is too annoying when the AFS atties die, isn't it? Specially when you've got used to it - I can't even bear to think about dripping any more. Glad you have come up with a solution that works for you until the new AFS arrives. Not sure if Imeo has finalised the design of it yet and also don't know how the supply of atties will be so watch this space.

Business is STORMING along, thanks very much. Pretty much working 90-100 hours a week on it at the moment 8-o8-o

Let's hope I'll still have a business in a few months........

Most of us quit smoking for health and financial reasons and at the rate these atty's go out the financial benefit is gone. Hopefully Imeo's new atty's will eliminate this problem. Because I like you never lost an atty until I used this system but I have confidence Imeo will correct this.

Well hopefully in the near future, the more produced, the more purchased, then maybe the price will drop. $18.00 is a lot to pay for these sensitive attys, all brands seem to be hit or miss, already had a bad $12.00 SLB-HV atty, lasted 5 minutes.

Dont get me wrong I think the atties were what made the ecig happen, but I think its time to reinvent the wheel if you know what I'm saying. I know in the attie mod thread there has been some pretty cool ideas. I just hope that something can be done to help increase the life of the atties and maybe change the way it heats the liquid to help decrease flooding and leaking. If this could happen man vaping will be that much better. :) no matter which attie I use i still get the same problems... M401, 801, 901 and 510... they all leak and cause problems....but I still enjoy vaping because I'm not smoking. :)

Dont worry Grimmer because new AFS dont let atty leak at all and you can smoke it like a real cig:)

Update on the atties dying on the AFS: Every one of the atties that died have the center post pushed up on them, this leads me to believe that the damage occurs when screwing on the lower section at battery change or not loosening it enough when replacing atty (although I have always tried to be careful not to over tighten anything). The leverage assist that is gained by the large circumference of the body can be deceiving as to actually how much it is being torqued. I will try a new batch of atties and place close attention to this action and see if I am correct in my assessment.

If I can get atty life, this is definitely the way to vape.

I loosen the battery compartment when I changet the atty. It seems easier that way. I have never had a problem with a post getting pushed up. (yet) :)

Spot on Stormy! Not sure if it is the OP problem, but like you I got into the very easy habit of unscrewing rear section, battery then slips down, contact post then slips down, and I remove whatever atty I had on the GGTS, and screw in another, or a carto, etc. Center post is well inside the top cap, NOT sticking up or out. Slowly re-screw bottom back up, NOT TOO TIGHT, and good to vape. I am NOT using an AFS, but will be in the future, if that makes any difference to the OP issues.;)
