Also, if you take it apart make sure you remember which cap is on which side because they are different. Another thing that should be in the instructions that didn't come with it.

Lisa sends out instructions with hers.
What do you mean cap without curve?
Are we talking about a hole in the atty or some hole in the tank?
And I assume each time you wash out and refill and put together again, you need to mark with a Sharpie again?
I just checked one of my extra atty's with a magnifying glass (eyes aren't so good). Are there 2 holes in these atty's, one towards the open end and one towards the batt end?
Debbie
There are two AFS caps, one flat and the other with an inside curve, sorry don't know how to explain it better, my English ;-)
One has a recessed hole and the other doesn't. I put the one with the recessed hole toward the GGTS.
There are TWO holes in the AFS 901. Both are in line with one another. That hole closest to the mouthpiece is the one that liquid flows into and the other one is where the air comes in. You want to cover the one that air comes in because we have air coming in through the center pole now. So when setting up the AFS put the bottom of the atty(battery connection end) flush with the bottom end of the AFS.
I ordered mine from Rob.
So that's why my two attys don't work. They don't have the top hole. I have a mark on the top third of the atty but no hole.
It is a common problem that people think there is no hole because it's not really visible to the naked eye. Try turning the light out and shining a torch down the atty to see the hole, it's usually the only way.So that's why my two attys don't work. They don't have the top hole. The AFS comes with an atty inside to show you how to set it up.
you have to have the catridge on the atomizer to be able to push the AFS down Debbie. If you try it without the catridge you may damage the o-ring that AFS cap has. So put the catridge first and then push it down like screwing it. You dont really screw it but its better and easier this way

TW atty's and no hole. Looks like burn mark there but no hole at all. Held it up to light no hole. I'd have to take a drill bit to make a hole.
The hole has to be too small to see - if you try to make one with a drill, the atty will flood and not work.TW atty's and no hole. Looks like burn mark there but no hole at all. Held it up to light no hole. I'd have to take a drill bit to make a hole.
