I was an Aircraft Fitter on fast jets for 15 years and used Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline) when intstalling o-rings. I have been doing the same on my AFS and center pin with no problems, it helps them to seat properly so less chance of them leaking. Daz

Daz, I forgot vaseline!!!! I put it on the GG threads too sometimes but it doesnt contact current so I prefere the Noalox but its more than good for o-rings. Thanks for the tip friend:):)

Liquid Vaseline makes it much easier to apply.
I use a little acid brush.

Just another quick tip..for those of us that are older and don't have insane grip strength anymore(bad arthritis)...try using one of the old-fashioned flat rubber jar openers to remove and tighten the brass piece into the barrel. It's actually handy for several things that need tightening..and it won't scratch or mar the finish in any way. They can also be cut to desired size to handle easier.

what the hell I'm doing wrong ??? I start filling the tank to the top and opening the draw all the way and when I take a hit all I get is a mouth full of warn eliquid and I tried 3 times and puked every time. HELP!!!!!!!

I'm soo worried trying again till tomorrow because I all ready have a massive head ache from the liquid in my mouth.

I'm using the afs v2 with the 901 i6 atty from vapor kings it seems that holes on the atty are too big. I'll post a picture of the difference.

Rip sounds like your Atty is fluded a bit when you fill.try blowing lightly in your mouthpiece to unflood that Atty then vape

I'll try again tomorrow because I have a massive head ache from the liquid and puking. Thanx for the info.
I tried using the atty with the smaller hole it works alot better but I still got a mouth full of liquid on the 5th vape.

Rip,

That surprises me I get some fluid everyday in my mouth as much as I vape, doesn't bother me, I try to spit it out of course but a little bit of fluid should bother you that much unless you hitting heavy at high MG, or maybe I'm just accustom to it.

not happy about that especially when it hot liquid. I tried again and same issue. I'll try again when my cartos come in. But not a happy camper right now. I dont like alot of liquid in my mouth; alittle bit is ok but not this much. I'm vaping at 6volts right and thats the best upgrade I've done. But, this is killing me.
I really want the afs v2 to work but if I cant get this thing to work right. I might go back to vaping cartridges at 6 volts.

Rip,

Don't get festered, there is a slight learning curv, all of us in the GG family here on the forum will help you until you have the AFS unit down pat buddy. Chill go vape a carto from some unit for a bit to calm down, tomorrow is another day and it will be a good one with your AFS promise.!!!

Hi Ripp my friend. I will tell you what to do b ut you need my mouthpiece for sure.

1 Close CR
2 Fill tank with liquid
3 close the cap
4 Turn GG upside down to empty liquid on a bottle or on a towel
5 Put my mouthpiece on and you will never have liquid in mouth

If you dont have my mouthpiece, then do 1-4 and then keep a towel around the 8 holes of the AFS and blow air through the mouthpiece. A small amound of liquid will come to the towel. Now you can vape.

The bad thing is that you dont have my mouthpiece but if you have a drip tip please try it:)

ok thats sounds like a plan. I'll wait for my cartos to get here and try again. but if the cartos doesnt have a hole; how does the liquid get in the carto???

Until Lisa and Rob sell cartos with holes you have to drill a 1,2 hole on you own about 8mm away from the threads

Rip, yes give the paper towel trick a try. Once you get the top cap back on turn the GG upside down to drain the atty onto a paper towel. I roll mine up to a point to make it touch the bridge. Once you get all that excess juice out then you should be fine. You have to pay attention to how hard you draw on the AFS as your pressure can pull juice into the atty easily. So take light draws to start out with until you find your sweet spot of how hard to draw to get a little liquid.

And yes the AFS V2 mouthpiece really does help with stopping juice from traveling to your mouth. If you are using a normal cart as a mouthpiece then you are going to get a lot of juice in the mouth. They act like a straw when you have the AFS on the atty.
