Forgive my ignorance. To be on the safe side, I will probably go for a pyrex tank since I always confused about the juice.

Alamak! Spent whole evening(4 hours!) trying to make stone wick out from aquarium bubble stone, but made ONLY A PIECE! Too fragile! It just kept breaking! As weak as egg shell! Damn!

Got the wrong cutting tool... got to order some Dremel diamond cutting wheel after holiday...

the drill bit method is where u put in the drill bit in the wick hole hole and then wrap the coil on the drill bit.

Spent 3.5 hours trying to set up my mini rebuildable gensis tank.
Didn't go well at the end. I've watched the tutorials available online, believe i followed to my best (which still means I got a looooott of learning to do and experience to gain) from oxidising the ss mesh all the way to wiring it up.
First attempt got me a hot spot up top. the rest= Failed. Resistance was too low.
I wonder what I'm doing wrong.

it took me about one week to get a good combo.
now i just use 3/4 wrap to get around 1.5-1.8 ohm.
try loosened the positive and negative point a bit.
I just tried everything to get rid of that hot spot.
Believe me it's really worth it

Good to hear u got a working setup bro.
I got a friend to help out and my mini Genesis works now. Had to re coil, and slowly space the coils in btwnn them till they lit up one by one.
Getting pretty decent performance with resistance @ 1.7ohms. Hope I can replicate the same result on my next try.
