Decided to get an AGA-T2. Based on what i know it's just the AGA-T+ with pyrex tank. Have a few questions in mind anyone can help me out?

1. How do you clean your mesh if you decides to change juice?

2. SS Mesh 400 vs 500. Whats the pros and cons and why which is better than the other in your opinion?

3. How long will ss mesh last for a regular vaper in average? 2 weeks?

4. What size cut of ss mesh do you use for your AGA-T+ setup?

5. Do AGA-T+/T2 have leaking issues? If yes, how do you solve it?

Been using Aga-T2 for 2 months, i will try to answer some of ur question, Still trying to improve.

1. Noneed for cleaning for new flavor juice, vape it till dry then add new flavor. Only clean it when too much gunk.

2. i tried both, 500 mesh is easier to roll solid and it wicks better. best pair it with ribbon khantal, After tried diff types of setup, the best method for me is double wick. Cut a piece of 1" x 1.5" and another at 2" x 1.5" ( 1.5" is the heigth). I will wash both mesh with soup. Rolled solid the 2" x 1.5" piece without oxidise. Oxidise the 1" x 1.5" once. roll it tight on 2" x 1.5" then ill do a couple of juice burn.

3. Depends how thick is ur juice and how much u vape. The mesh can last awhile, u can wash it, rewick.

4. 3" wide 1.5" height with 500ss mesh.

5. Havent got any leaking so far.

The only complain about the AGA-T is the silicon insulator tubings that comes with it but can easily fix. And another thing with the pyrex is, Once drop BB to ur pyrex tank. I break 3 pyrex from 3 drops so far. U might as well get some spare pyrex.

Just drilled the AGA T2 wick hole to 1/8 inch to fit ceramic fc2000 wick. No special tools needed, used cordless drill, 1/8 inch black oxide bit (regular black colored bits), and a wood clamp with a bit of rubber from old inner tube to protect Finnish. The key is to go very slow with the drill.
Now I REALLY know what my juice tastes like! And the clouds!
Still gotta get the Hot Wrap down, but vaping great! No leaks, no dry hits, sweet!

Hello.
Recently I stopped using my AGA because I started trying the drip tanks.
After a while I thought I'd just revisit my genesis tanks and started to re-use my AGA-T+.
I washed out the tank and did a new coil setup, but I find that my mesh wick is not wicking the juice and I am getting dry burns only.
Left it on its side for the whole night and next morning, the top of the wick was still dry.
I think it may be a vacuum issue. I even left the air hole screw out but it's still not working.

Can anyone help me solve this?:(

I got my insulator spares already and i encounter the same problem too, i only oxidize my wicks using a lighter and did a dual wick and cotton as insulator, work fine but the coil didnt glow properly. i fed up and pull out the cotton and i re-oxidize my wick by juice burn the mesh, recoil using cigarette paper method, glows perfectly but its the same problem encounter by Razlan as well.

What did i do wrong?

sounds like shorts, try oxi ur wick again. btw y u use cotton n cigarette paper lol. both of the method is fail. buy some khantal ribbon n butane torch.

Both cotton and cigarette paper is viable method, problem solved as i just need to use a thicker wick hehe, the thing is I'm trying not to oxidize my wick but getting the coil glowing evenly is tough i need to constantly rearrange the coil spacing because usually only the top coil glows not the bottom ones. Anyway thanks for the suggestion Redlof :)

I agree with you. Using cigarette paper (I use rice paper) is a brilliantly successful method. No need to juice burn or overly torch your mesh if you use that method; it leads to faster carbonization buildup. In addition to the cigarette paper method, I also apply the kinks to top and bottom to prevent hotlegs. Since I've been using these methods, never again have I gotten any hotspots even on first fire up (never need to rearrage coil spacing).

Hey Everybody,
Can anyone please tell me the size of the washers they use on the center post on the AGA T2.
Been loking everywhere for some that fit but all I find are 2mm ones and they are Huge!
Thanks!

the best washers you can use is actually the ones they used in RC but i only bought mine at the hardware, i just need to make my spring a bit wide to support the washers hehe hope this helps!

I did EXACTLY what you did but my coil still burning slowly, i remember the first time i setup my genesis oxidizing my mesh like 3 times using torch, 3 times using juice burn and i get the vaping sensation but recently when i tried oxidize once, i didnt get what i want, to oxidize or not to oxidize, tonight i'm just gonna boil it and try heheh

Got a hobbie shop in my hood, gonna check it out... Also gonna strip some pens for a spring, can't find one at a store... thanks! :D

Let me try to understand your issues. Your coil is slow to light up and you have wicking issues. Is that right? What's the resistance of your coil? Got sufficient batt volts?

For my current setup I have SS 7x19 cable in 3 of my tanks, folded 0.1 x 0.5mm kanthal ribbon, 5/4 wraps x2, 0.8 ohms. Nearly 90% of my wick is covered by kanthal. This heats up fast. However, the 1st fire up takes a little bit longer to get up to temp coz the heat gets conducted away by the ss cable.
IMHO, my solid #500 mesh wicks better than cable.

i'm using #500 straw mesh and using 30awg kanthal A1 (4 wraps) btw wicking is better now since i changed my wick, previously it was very thinly rolled straw mesh now slightly thicker.

oh yes i change battery just to prove that i have a coiling problem, i'm a mech user btw.

probably i just need more practice but i'm willing to experiment to other method. heheh

thanks posthumous :D

i'm thinking of going 1.5mm too, but some say its to airy.

i advice to bore out your air hole in increments and see which suits you. it may be tricky to find drill bits in between 1mm - 1.5mm so you may need to manually enlarge it with some other tools.
for a single wick genesis, 1.5mm is the prefect balance for me. in contrast, on my quad coil dripper, i've got 2 air holes giving a total of 3mm. airy, if you suck on it with no power. but when you fire it up, with the vapor, heat and flavour the dripper produces and airy-ness melts away as you pull a lung inhale
