A lot of folks could not/would not tolerate the steep time and I guess complained. People want instant gratification, always in life. Just my thoughts.

Thnx for the input Chanel. Idk what it is. That steep additive? Could be but that would explain SC and JC only. Nowhere could you find more superb juices in a line than at AHL. This changing is ridicules though. Why CHANGE a perfect thing? SC along was a gold mine. I also doubt I'll even order that one again. Just bummed and have been because I'm afraid these wonderful juices will all wind up changed in some other ways. Wlad must be out of him gord! lol jkn ;)

I'm not so sure about this. Most people don't mind steeping if they know they are going to be rewarded with something great at the end, and they bought accordingly to always have a steeped bottle ready to go. And remember there were a lot of people who enjoyed tasting at different stages, and still others who liked them without steeping at all.
And most everyone is familiar with steeping by now. Ahlusion's steep times were the same as a lot of other vendors (meaning sometimes months) and it was always just an option and a personal preference anyway.
I think there's some other reason. ?

Also, as I understood it, the NETs (aromatics) didn't need steeping.

I just got a new bottle of caramel wildwood about three weeks ago, and I can't vape it. it's not the same. and I've vaped 120ml of it in the last 7 months. at first I thought it was because it was 70 vg and the last bottle I got wAs 50/50. but I've gotten it in 70vg before and it was great.

Mia11 and billybedford are helping my puzzlement concerning CWW. How could someone vape 100's of ML's of this, mix a batch of 6 MG & 0 MG, and immediately realize the first batch is Flat. Mixed a second batch and I was getting a tickle in the throat with some coughing.

After a little bit I was truly floored that I could not vape it. I sold off my Stash of it.

I am not getting the same with Maple, Vanilla, and or Winter Wild Wood.

Ironically, had the same tickle in the throat and some coughing last Sunday with the " New " Smooth Criminal. Maybe this base change affects me a certain way?

Perhaps changes are in preparation for regulations that may be coming???????? Just a big question. I might have to try a small bottle of CWW, let it steep and compare it to the 30 ml "before" bottle I have steeping... humm.....

Oh YES Clnire! Do that please and if I'm not around PM me. That's something I have not a way to test. I do however have a 30ml bottle of Smooth Criminal..the old formulation..shhhhhhh..lol and I am doing that test again as soon as I reorder. ;)

Here are my thoughts, take it as you will.

First, I am NOT a big fan of tobacco. I do enjoy it on occasion, CWW being one of my favorites. I just don't think about it much, except is it good, and do I like it.

I just cracked open a bottle of CWW, the only new bottle of tobacco liquid I have on hand.
It tastes different to me compared to the old bottle. Is it because it hasn't steeped a long time? Or maybe now it doesn't NEED to steep? Or is it actually different? Who knows, because Wlad isn't telling.
I am not a tobacco expert, but it tastes flat. And Caramel Wild Wood NEVER tasted flat to me, FOOB or 1 year old, or anywhere in between. I can deal with it, but only because I do not buy Ahlusion for the tobaccos. I buy Ahlusion for teas, and fruit and cream combinations mainly. Quick Nic makes a good NET RY4 (ouR whY qu4tro), that suits me if CWW or Smooth Criminal end up not satisfying me anymore.

Here's the way I connect the dots.

Non-aromatic tobaccos are (were) a blend of NET and synthetic flavoring +
Aromatics (NETs) gone... +
Now non-aromatics are synthetic tobacco only, NET aspect gone, additional flavorings are the same... =
Non-aromatic tobaccos will now be different.

You know that is what I was saying somewhere else on here. I think the old bottom dollar has won out over quality at AHL. I'm really not at all pleased about that either.

Thankfully i stocked up on CWW and SB in June, and i am set for a good while. Even if CWW and SB change, they are not irreplaceable for me. RBFS' Count Caramel is an excellent Caramel Tobacco. ouR whY qu4tro and Goodejuice GJ4 are not direct replacements for CWW, but are excellent in their own right. Likewise there are other Turkish Blends, both synthetic and NET, that i like in addition to SB. Unlike you, i vape mostly tobacco's and more specifically NET's, and i have not laid all my eggs in the same basket. There are at least a half dozen vendors i purchase tobacco's from, and more so than Ahl in most cases.

For black teas though, i have absolutely no replacements for my Ahl favorites. I doubt these are in any danger of changing, but you never really know do you. As much as i've grown tired of trying new vendors, it might not be a bad idea finding alternatives just in case.

I read a lot of... speculation.. on this board that reminds me that few really know this man and what he stands for. I ALWAYS bite my tongue and let the speculation go. It isn't my intention to be contentious, but I would fall on my own sword if this were ever proved to be the case in his business model. It is entirely possible that formulations are being rethought to use less numbers of ingredients in the overall mix of the spectrum, to aid in getting FDA approval of ingredients, but I don't think "the "old bottom" (almighty?) dollar" is the motivation. Survival in a regulatory environment requires some sacrifices. Nobody is likely less pleased about that than the Man himself.

I would agree if Wlad would just say that himself. He has not said that. What he has said is that SOME were changed. How they were changed to some extent but not really. I hope you are correct my friend. I doubt you would survive a cutlass.
If he is changing things due to pending regulations, he is being superficial at the least in his choices. Unless he already knows what will and will not fly with the FDA.

The regulations are at least 2 years away, and while there are rumors abound, i doubt that even the FDA commissioner himself knows what they are as of yet.

Yes rumors do fly. Remember that one where Wlad was going to ditch internet sales? I was told the Aromatics could still be had at Swartz Creek. Idk though. I should ask Y Cherry, he would know that. Changes to faves and even ditching some is not good business practices IMO.
Yeah those FDA regulations are a ways off from what I understand.

I'm a loyal AHL supporter. I drop and will continue to drop good money on my faves. I will buy from AHL until I can no longer do so. It just pains me to no end that some folks just won't leave well enough alone. I'll say this though, I'v already branched out in search of replacements IF anymore changes are made.

I agree that most of us die hard AHLusionists understand the steep thing. We buy months ahead and we each have our own system to make the magic happen. I am talking about the random person that comes on this thread and says something like "I dunno what y'all are talking about I can't taste anything with this Illusion stuff" and then one of us well tell them it will be grand in a few weeks and you can almost feel the terror as they shout "I want to vape it this instant, I only have this and one bottle of xyz and I cannot wait for two weeks"

I'm not so sure about this. Most people don't mind steeping if they know they are going to be rewarded with something great at the end, and they bought accordingly to always have a steeped bottle ready to go.
