The Caramel Pear Black Tea is my favorite adv and favorite Ahlusion juice. Smooth Criminal is a close second (it is a complex tobacco vape with hints of spice and bakery).

CPBT I steep for a good 3 weeks. Smooth Criminal I steep for over 5 weeks. Some like it fresh.

The Xpress Line is supposedly presteeped for 2 weeks. I have received a few Xpress bottles that were up to 3 months steeped but those were during holiday sales. You can choose your nicotine level but not the vg/pg ratio. They do not count towards the $20 minimum purchase to qualify for a free sample and can not be ordered as a free sample.

Shari, you are the second person i have heard say the express line is supposed to be steeped for two weeks. Do you mean a minimum of two weeks, before they ar on the proverbial shelf ? I mean, how can they be exactly two weeks, it's not as if they can predict who will order what in two weeks time.

Two things about Boba Tea. First, they also said the House Blends and aros were going away. They're back (and by the way, the aros have always been 15 and 30ml only -- never 10). Second, a couple months ago when I was at the cafe I was shocked to find outdated Boba Tea in the 80% off XPress display. Which probably means it's not as popular as we may have thought.

I wish I could have been there for that (but California's a long, long drive away)! I love well-steeped BT best of all. I haven't ever managed to have enough back-up for more than a couple months steep, though.

Exactly right. When you receive your bottle of juice it will have a best by date that is 6 months out from the time it was made. I think I may have read they were changing the best by info to when bottled but I am not sure.

Seeing all the recent changes and flavors off the menu and then my Caramel Pear Black Tea out of stock sent me for a loop. I am not sure what is up with Ahlusion anymore.

They've definately changed the best by date for the XPress juice. Two of mine say 6/2015 and one says 7/2015, so guessing it's a year after being bottled.

It is my understanding that Wlad uses some method not practical for individual vapers to pre-steep the Xpress line. It may be sealed to exclude all oxygen afterwards so it doesn't steep any further but I don't know that for sure.

Ah....... That seems to make more sense. I still wish they would use the date bottled, but food uses best by so I guess that is what he is following. Rules. I just write the date I get them on the bottle anyways.

yup, my last 4 bottles ordered were from the express line. three have best by dates if 6/2015 ( i am assuming they were bottled some time in June of this year, and the other 7/2015 which was presumably bottled in July.

Very good point cherry.... WE know how good Bobas is, but to folks visiting Ahlusion's website for the very first time, or to folks outside this forum, Bobas may not get a second look.

I can understand how some diehard Ahlusion fans are upset by recent cuts, but at the end of the day, Wlad's not in business to put smiles on our faces, he's in business to make money for him and his family.

We've seen this coming for quite some time.... so the idea of Wlad streamlining his product line should be no surprise. What we think of in terms of Ahlusion "crème de la crème", may not appeal to the masses at all, and... as anyone who's ever been in business knows.... marketing efforts must be targeted toward the "low hanging fruit".

What I don't get is why Wlad just doesn't come out and say it's impossible to test every combination of every one of his flavors in preparation for FDA regs, and that the slow movers have to go. He says flavors will be culled in order of feedback? It's almost like he doesn't want to insult those of us who fell in love with his slowest moving flavors :)

Some may perceive Wlad's recent comments as "dancing around the subject", but... he might just not know what to say

My two cents.....

My two cents.....

All good points, but I think that for most of us, our disappointment is more about the fact that there wasn't a warning period on the chopped juices to allow folks a chance for a stock up purchase. To have a specific juice yanked with literally no warning is what has most of us upset.

And can someone tell me exactly what this means? From Facebook

people are sending multiple and duplicate feedback e-mails - this is not advisable as our system will delete these e-mails and we'll never see them.

Duplicate feedback e-mails? How does the system know? The subject? Because I don't always review every juice in a feedback at one time. And Alley even told me once that I can use any feedback e-mail to review my older newly tried juices and samples that aren't listed on feedback e-mails, instead of hunting for the specific one - so are my feedback responses being deleted by some random decision making process of a "system" ? This is an example of a "sketchy" response by team Ahlusion. I read it as more of an excuse than the truth.

Again from Facebook

My original message above was just to clarify some of the things that have been happening as we're apparently getting flooded with duplicates that we do not even see.

If you're not seeing them, then how do you know you're getting flooded? More "sketchy" response that actually insults my intelligence.

A combination of both, but feedback is considered first. Useable feedback.

Ok. And useable feedback is........????

Just too many inconsistent messsages that sound more like excuses to try to stop people from contacting them, which sends a strong message that as an online customer, I'm more of an annoyance than valued.

Ok - I posted this on FB in reply to Lisa's post which is:

If Boba Tea is really going away, could we at least have a chance to stock up? I live on that amazing stuff. And I always provide feedback that I love it!

My reply

Seconded - a little disappointed that flavors are yanked with no warning to allow your FANatics to at least stock up before there's no more chance to purchase. And if you're re-purposing Boba's for another vendor - can we know who that vendor is, so we can continue to buy it?

And their reply was:

I never said Boba Tea is going away. It's just not available right now. Flavors also aren't just removed; we send thousands of feedback requests every week, but we get less than 1% useable feedback on the low performing flavors. This is not a manual take down (if anything disappears) - our system calculates what stays, needs improvement etc. As for flavors going to other vendors, in these cases it's up to the vendor to release that information especially if it's re-purposed as their blend/flavor, iow, we do not disclose this information.

And I replied with this, we'll see if we can get a better definition of "useable" feedback.

By the way - the system again is making decisions - Spiced Pumpkin Latte stays? Seems like they need a new "system" because this one is deleting e-mails and feedback that they never see, because apparently "it" decides what is useable feedback. I'd hate to have a "system" have so much power over what I see and don't see. (sarcasm intended)

Thank you for your reply. Can you explain what "usebable" feedback is? I'd like to make sure when I provide my feedback, that it's considered useable. I generally don't provide feedback if the juice is perfect as is to me, I generally use it to provide feedback if I think a juice would be improved by bringing a certain note forward. If it's useable to tell you I find a particular juice perfect as is, then I'll start to do that.

This is not really an Ahlusion comment although I will be bringing my Ahlusion juices with me , but I am going on a trip Friday and was wondering how nicotine gum translates to ejuice mg. I'm pretty sure it's not an even comparison. I vape 6 mg so I wonder what that transfers into with the 2 mg gum.....any ideas? I want it for the plane...:vapor:

You made a bunch of really great points Rabernet and I agree.

On a lighter note, you got me thinking about this whole mess and how it all seemed to center around the old profile computer system.

This may sound strange but, one of the reasons I never tried Boba's tea is because the picture of it did not look very appealing to me! You know when you look at a picture of food, how the sense's react to it, has a lot to do with the desire of whether you want it or not. Well, that was certainly a deciding factor with my choice to skip over those!

Now, with all this chit chat over the loss I guess a picture is really worth a thousand words!
I'm sorry I didn't try it after all.....

Never judge a book by it's cover!;)

And I think the reason I had to have Strawberry Shortcake was because of that pic -- as embarrassing as it is to say.

I don't know exactly how the mgs translate but I think the gum will be fine for a plane ride. It won't be as satisfying as vaping but You'll get that nicotine sting when the gum is fresh. Hold it by your bottom gum and repeat with new piece as necessary. How long is your flight?

Great work Robin. Repeating what you posted from the AHL Facebook page and including his latest response which is quite interesting:

Ahlusion I think we have one of the most complex feedback systems as there are several factors involved. Without disclosing exactly how it works, I'll just list the things (we have in the feedback e-mails): 1. hardware used, 2 which settings vaped at, 3 any changes in flavor perception - which also takes into account environmental and physical changes 4 how often the product was used. This is just a small aspect of feedback. We generally able to get a lot out of feedback e-mails - and it does take some work once it's correctly entered into the system by either myself, Alyssa or those who happen to take care of processing feedback.

HTH
