...Update today 10/21/14 - - -
Got my first Ahlusions order on Friday - Banana Cream Pie, Tiramasu and Café au Lait - and really loved all three...this is quality stuff! However, it's also my first try at 50vg/50pg...and by Monday (yesterday) I started getting a sore throat with that water in the lungs feeling again. (Has anyone else experienced this?)

Thanks to all the great help and advice on this thread, I have another 5 new flavors on order. But now I'm wondering if I have a sensitivity to the higher VG? Or is it the water content? The Ahlusion liquid was great right out of the mailbox...maybe I should have let them steep before trying them?

I've got plenty of other liquids that have been steeping a while, so I'm not panicking yet - but sure feels like I've got a lot more experimenting to do before finding the perfect setup for long term... Sigh...

The good news is I'm still 9 weeks smoke free - and nowhere close to giving up because I've been at it long enough now that just smelling a cigarette is disgusting. I really need to find the perfect vape...I'm ruined for smoking now. :)

A feeling of heaviness in the lungs from vaping is very commonly associated with a sensitivity to VG. A sore throat can come from a lack of hydration-very easy to happen with vaping, too many dry or dryish hits, higher levels of nic, sensitivity to PG or a particular flavoring. Drink loads of water and try juice in 30VG/70 PG and 70VG/30 PG to see if you can isolate the issues you are having.

Huge congrats on being smoke free for 9 weeks!!! The first part of the hump is the hardest so give yourself some well-deserved pats on the back. It will get easier as you find juices and gear that works well for you.

I've been using an evic, mvp2, and the original protanks for so long now. I'd appreciate some hardware recs for an ugrade. I have a kayfun but decided I don't care for RBAs. I'm fine with factory coils. Thoughts on the aerotank mega? Was thinking of pairing that with the vaporshark rdna 40.

I would concur with everyone's suggestion to try the Nautilus or Nautilus mini with BVC coils. However, if you are getting an rDNA 40 you might want to hold off on buying a lot of them.

Brandon from Evolv said in his interview with Phil Busardo that some of the major players will be offering clearos built with Ni200 wire which is needed to enable the DNA 40 chip's temperature limiting feature. So far, it looks like the temperature limiting feature is living fully up to it's promise of preventing dry hits.

I don't know what it is about your Kayfun that you don't care for but you might want to try building it with Ni200 wire to use with the temperature limiting feature on your rDNA 40 before giving up on it. I passed on getting any of the Kayfun type tanks because I knew I would be disappointed in the flavor. However, I did pick up a GG Tilemahos with AFC that does produce excellent flavor for a tank. You can also use it for a dripper if you wick like Bishopheals demonstrates in his video.

Depending on what you got 1-2 weeks maybe. Open and do air exchange daily. Shake Shake Shake.

Got apple wild wood and juke and jive. Air exchange just let them sit open for a few hours and shake constantly or? Only my 2nd juice order so far. First from goodlife where steeping wasnt needed so.

Wlad told me that juices should only be opened initially for a few seconds to allow some air in and that any more airing out than that does nothing but reduce flavor. After that, only periodic shaking is required.

Some people actually prefer some Ahlusion juices fresh so sample right away and every week or so after that. The only thing that matters is how much steeping you prefer since you will be the one vaping the juice. ;)

Jump and Jive might be good now. Apple Wildwood might take a minute. If you can try them and see what you think. Air exchange is just a quick open, smell, count to 60 (lol) and close. I do not do the Wildwood tobaccos (or just have not yet) so hopefully somebody else will answer that

Thank you guys. Gonna try them both tonight then. I also noticed with my last juice order the first flavor I tried had a nice throat hit, now a week later it has none, also the flavor profile declined. I shook the bottle before filling my tank. Anything i can do to fix this issue or is it a lost juice?

I really enjoy building. I love to try out new coils just for the fun, plus it's a de-stresser for me. I did the tensioned coil in the tutorial by SuperX a while back, and though it was actually simple to do and the end result worked well, I found it to be a little bit unnecessarily fussy for me with the eraser and tape. I have to say that all the fancier coils are fun to play around with, but the standard microcoils are the ones that I always go back to. Every couple of months I twist about a yard of wire with my drill so I always have some on hand, and alternatively use that depending on my vaping mood. That's the great thing about being able to build confidently. It opens up so many options to get the best vape possible.
I haven't tried it, but I would think rebuilding a PT2 would be a lot harder than working on a Kayfun! Whatever you're comfortable with is the right thing. For me, there's nothing more comfortable than a simple microcoil on the RM2 with the Reo, because it just works.
I remember revisiting every single flavor of juice I had when I got it, because everything tasted new and amazing compared to the Kayfun.

Yeah, i tried every new build RIP came up with for a while, but that ran it's course. Way too much fuss for no additional improvement in vape quality imo. Simple tensioned contact coil takes less than a minute and keeps it's shape for weeks if you are careful when re-wicking.

You are right, re-building the pt is more involved than kayfun, but i have a lot more experience with it. In any case it's not the building which is causing me issues with the kayfun, it's the wicking i presume. All due respect to Bronze whose posts i have been reading and enjoying for a long while, i can build a tighter coil than that. I suspect it's the quality of my fasttech kayfuns that might be a problem or more likely the wicking.

The eraser and tape are not necessary, so long as you build with tension straight of the spool, you will get an almost perfect coil every time. You could wrap around a screwdriver, pin vise, coil winder, coiling jig, anything really .

As for the Reo, if and when they come up with a variable wattage one ( maybe a dna 40 ! ), that might be my next step.

Stopped by Flint Township today and got to meet the man himself for the first time. Wlad is an awesome and very friendly guy. He appears to have the same passion for vaping that the rest of us do and is in it for the love of vaping and not just for the $. We were discussing my vaping preferences and what i was looking for and offered to mix up a custom flavor for me to try out. Really a great guy and very appreciative that he had earned my business.

We have another winner for me! Although Caramel Pear Black Tea did not do anything for me (although I see how many love it), the Caramel Pear White Tea is delicious! Just delivered yesterday, so very fresh, but dripped a little as I always do when I get new flavors, this is GREAT!!!!

Another winner for me is Boba Tea Strawberry. It was my requested sample and again very fresh, but that Boba base is so smooth, the strawberry does not scream STRAWBERRY!!!. It is a nice subtle strawberry (but definitely strawberry).

Also got Cappuccino; very light flavor right now, but I bet this will develop into another nice coffee flavor. I think of cappuccino as a lighter coffee flavor, so this is what I expected and wanted. WINNER!!!

I want your order. :?:

Top 10? That was asked a few weeks ago but I didn't post. Humm...no particular order:

Caramel Wild Wood
Vanilla WW
Lemon Cream
Raspberry Cream
Raspberry White Tea
Banana Cream Pie
Pineapple Upsidedown Cake
Lemon Vanilla Cake
Cafe au Lait
Boba Tea

More, but I love so many! Just got Caramel Pear White Tea - I think that is going to slide in there. And I must try the Peach White Tea... I guess my real fave is what I am vaping today :) whatever that is!

 Yeah, I couldn't narrow it down that far, either! :)

Met a vaper the other day that has been vaping the same flavor for the last two years.

You should have seen his face when I told him my strategy is to get to less than 15 favs from various vendors.

It was priceless.

:lol::lol::lol:

I know! I have a friend that I love and respect that vapes the same flavor from MBV for months. She orders the 236 ml bottle and vapes it until it is gone. She has 3 flavors there that she likes and she rotates them. Been doing this for years. The look on her face when she see's my stash, on desk, on table, in drawers and even in the fridge is priceless.
Some people!

Two completely different type of vapors. You are an aficionado and a hobbyist, your friend most likely needs the nicotine kick and as far as the taste is good enough, she is satisfied. Whatever keeps you off the cigs, is the right choice !

I often wonder what compels us to try newer and different juices constantly. I mean, i didn't go from cigarette brand to cigarette brand, in my smoking days.

I have at least three dozen juices that i love and i would imagine i'd be content if i had to vape one for the long term, but try new juices, i still do ! Slowing down a bit though, thankfully.

Hi everyone. Here is my update on my credit card escapades. I emailed Wlad at Ahlusion on Saturday evening.

He responded and gave me a website that scans a website for SSL Server tests. It is Qualys SSL Labs. You can run a test on any website before you purchase something. Ahlusion came up with a grade of 'A'.

On Monday afternoon I spoke with Wlad for an extended time regarding the server security and credit card fraud issues. It was a productive conversation and I am confident he is doing all in his power to provide a secure environment for credit card purchases on his website and in his stores. He has had significant conversations with his credit card processor and the processor is running scans daily for fraud or weak spots. He runs daily for virus and malware on his servers. Wlad has a background in computer forensics so there is no doubt that he knows what he is doing concerning this issue.

Ahlusion will not take any financial information over the telephone. No financial information is ever in the hands of any Ahlusion employee. What we enter on the website goes directly to the cc processor and is not available to anyone at Ahlusion to see. So, no phone orders.

Wlad tells me that the Ahlusion website will accept Prepaid Credit Cards (not gift cards) as long as your address is tied to it. So if you want to use a Prepaid credit card, make sure you register the card with your address on the cc website.

Ahlusion will also accept a 'virtual' credit card. So that is the safest option available for someone purchasing online.

Wlad advises all to Never use a Debit Card on any website, including his. They do not provide the same protections as a credit card.

Wlad also shared with me that he has been hit with a $49.95 fraud charge on one of his credit cards during this year and he does not buy at Ahlusion. (lol) He talks with other vendors and businesses daily and this is a wide spread problem.

I am satisfied with the results of our conversation and will keep ordering from Ahlusion with confidence. But I will do my part by getting a virtual credit card number for any online order with all of my future purchases at all vendors. I need to make sure I am doing all I can to protect myself.

Oh, and I took him to task for being out of stock on my Caramel Pear Black Tea and Smooth Criminal. He promised me that they will be back in stock soon, as soon as he has the ingredients he is out of. And he told me to watch for some more sales coming up.

I was charged $49.95 earlier this year and had to cancel my card. I just discovered another 2 fraudulent charges on my credit card for $49.95 in late August and late September. The 2 merchants were Garciania Diet and SlimFast(a sister company of Garcinia). I explained to my CC company I have never even been to these websites, I am 6 foot 160lbs for gawd sake. If you don't mind me asking who was the merchant for your $49.95 charge?

I now have to cancel my card for a 2nd time this year. Is this a pretty common theme everywhere or particularly common for Ahlusion online customers?

The biggest offendors seem to be the credit card processing companies (not individual small vendors online or small brick and mortar); and also the systems of large national/regional chains themselves (Target, Home Depot, Jewel, Dairy Queen, Jimmy John's, etc etc etc).

Am I the only one who thinks the nautilus bvc coils are a bunch of hype? The ceramic irritates my throat. Tried some bdc coils and they are just meh. I really expected the nautilus to be some mystical magical amazing vape and it's just...a tank. Of course I filled it up with caramel pear white tea so I'm just getting through this. Frankly I get better flavor off the PT3. I want to try some of those air controller bases Chanel! I'll have to look those up. Aaaaand I still need to learn to rebuild my reo  Lol I'm such a chicken..

- Steep time - 5 minutes
- 50/50 - 12mg
- Delivery device - Kanger Mega tank 1.5ohm dual coil - I test all my flavors with this tank. If they pass then they are worthy of better devices
- MOD - Vapor Shark - DNA30
- Watts - 9.5
- Flavor - Well, it is exactly like the description states, it's a candy like Blueberry. It is not a desert type Blueberry. The candy taste is very present. It has a bubble gum like taste if you will.

My opinion:

I like it actually. The candy taste does go and come, it does intensify and then dial down. When the flavor intensifies you get that tart taste. When it dials down you get that blueberry taste. I would definitely put this in the fruit category.

You are not alone but I still desire to experiment with the Nautilus. BVC Coils are a miniature Carto, and I am using Carto Tanks so I am very curious.

There are knock offs out there, and I am reading that it is imperative that you obtain authentic.

Were your Coils authentic?

If after my experiment, and if there is no benefit or satisfaction then I will list it in the classifieds. They sell quickly if authentic.

My first trial flavor with the Nautilus will be AHL - Lemon Cream.

Was in my mailbox when I got home. Tasted on an HH357 1.5 ohm at ~10 watts. 50/50 and 12mg, just like New2Vaps mix. I really like New2Vaps bubble gum analogy. It is very juicy but not what I think of as candied. When I think of candy, I think sweet. Sweet it is not! It is juicy as all get out and pretty darn intense.LOVE the tartness.

Whatever they did to their blueberry, they could do to all their fruit flavors imo, and make a whole "gem" series. Very flavorful. I'm hoping that this doesn't mellow with steeping like the Grapevine and Sasparilla did by losing that "fizz" sensation. Those were juices I really liked foob but not so much after steeping. At first blush, this goes near the top of the short list of must haves!
