So, I complained about an ear issue, and the ENT put me on prednisone. My ear is happy, but coming off the prednisone is horrific! Your body has trouble getting back to producing whatever (not technical, I know), and mystery aches and pains ensue. Not to mention my vape-tastebuds were not cooperating. So not a fun weekend. I think today I am back to a semblance of my real self. But I'm treating myself to a total indulgence pasta dinner tonight (I usually avoid carbs). Party on!

Penny, I'm so glad to hear that you're ear is better! I hope you get over the after effects quickly. Prednisone is one drug that makes me feel great but getting over it is the worst.

Enjoy your pasta dinner!

hey how'd you know I like lion's?
Wild guess. But since your avatar is a male kitty-cat, the only reason I knew you were a female was your user name. I was pretty sure that most male members of the forum wouldn't use Coco's name. (I have the same problem because I use pics of Hugh Laurie.)

Too random and kinda selfish to post now. I just made it into a blog post. Nothing but my ramblings.
Ahh well we like reading your ramblings Mr Mann..To bad I only have the phone to get on here just now, but will read your blog later when WiFi gets sorted.[emoji106]

Great weekend! Knocked a couple off the Bucket List. Cruising Woodward Ave's Dream Cruise (picture 8 lanes of classic dream cars, exotics, you NAME it, for 15 miles) on my Harley Road Glide Ultra, and I'm passing the Ducati dealership. Big sign on a semi out front.. "Demo Rides". Eh... WHAT? So I brought my cycle around and headed in. Factory had loaners there, and they were giving "guided tours" but darn, the time slots were all booked. Well, older guy on a newer top Harley, whadda ya do? You get that guy a bike! They pulled out one of their own 1200cc Ducati Monsters, and handed me the keys. No "guided tour" nonsense, just.. "Enjoy". And THAT I did, for almost 3 hours. What a ROCKET that thing is. I broke more laws than Bonnie and Clyde, and I don't think I ever touched 5th or 6th gear.

Then my son stopped by today with a loaner from work (GM). Brand new Corvette. Here Dad, go have some fun. SCHWING! One more drop of adrenaline, and I might just pass out.

I tried to read the blog, but it won't let me. Something about Mr. Mann not following ME? What's that got to do with the price of tea in Scwartz Creek? I'm following HIM....

Oh, changed it...I can't remember why I had those settings that way. I guess I figured, if I had 'em set that way, I could know why no one had read my blog. LOL. Ain't really anything there anyway.

Reminds me of many years ago when hubby and I bought our first house. Hubby was doing computer work in the Dominican Republic and one of his (very rich) clients showed up to help us work on the house. He threw me the keys to a car and said "take it for a spin". It was Porche Caberet or one of those, so long ago I don't remember the exact model (late 80s) but it was swweeeeetttt! It was pouring rain, but I spent about an hour by myself having fun while they painted ceilings..(it was an as is fixer upper house). Yeee hawww!

Way! I was really happy to hear that you liked the Nickle coils after break in. I've been worried about that as I have a bunch coming and it seemed I had read generally negative thoughts about Ni200 vs. Ti. Your blog states you're using the .25ohm Crown coils, and that they're Kanthal? Did I read that right? For some reason, I thought I had read stainless somewhere? I had looked very hard previously to find what they were made of, and don't think I ever saw much information on the .25 and .5 coils.

I liked the way you described how the different coils make for some different.. emphasis on your flavors. The frying pan analogy was a good one. Still waitin on that TC mod to do my own experimenting, but I am loving that Crown. Can't wait to try all my favorite Ahlusion flavors under these different conditions. Sadly, I need to order them all in higher VG though...

Nope. Not kanthal. SS. D'uh. The rest is spot on. I *think* that's why some like the regular, SS heads, because they tend to have liquids tasting high-key and very bright i.e., sweeter. The Ni coils, on the other hand, seemingly have the treble turned down touch and the mids boosted a smidgen. I think that is why I am enjoying Shipwreck so much out of them; it just tastes right. Actually, most of my liquids do.

I mixed up 1/3 Shipwreck 1/3 Pineapple Cream & 1/3 Coconut Dream and vaped it in my old school Stillare RDA on top of my very first tube. The Brass King. I built a set of 26ga 4 wraps each @ .233ohms...The result was amazing flavor and a fogged up living room.
I was feeling nostalgic for the cloud chucking days I guess.

Not to go on and on about my health, but apparently that Prednisone withdrawal was awful. I've had shooting pains up and down on one side for three days! At one point I pulled out a leftover Oxy and even that didn't help. I decided yesterday that I must be getting shingles, it was that bad.
Finally, this morning, it started to go away. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon, and he can just confirm for me that nothing else has cropped up. Oh -- when I called the ENT who prescribed the drug, I was told that there was no way the pred could have caused that reaction.
Whew.
