Oh yes, I had one more thought I forgot to mention. SOMEbody needs to market a disposable Titanium coil drip atty for TC. I'd like a percentage for the idea. So it's out there, and I'm patenting it with this post. PM me for my address to send the checks.;)

That's one heckuva plume of vapor you have going there! That's awesome that you have found your personal Nirvana.

No matter how satisfied I think I am, curiosity always compels me to try out new things. Fortunately 3 years of experience has at least tempered that from trying the smallest new incremental changes, to now waiting for much larger technological changes. I have finally succumbed to the temptation to give Sub-ohm and temperature control a try. The prices have plummeted to the point where it made sense to at least.. (inspired by Mr. Mann) test the waters. After mere hours of intense and concentrated toying with different setups, I have FINALLY reached an earth shattering conclusion! I enjoy vaping.

BUT, maybe even more importantly, I have made a few observations along the way. Firstly (I hate that word, why do I use it?) More vapor CAN be more flavor. But not necessarily (but you already knew this @Sirius ).

Also, what I THOUGHT I knew about the relationship between watts and ohms has been stood on it's ear. Lower Ohms need HIGHER watts? Counter intuitive for me, but there it is. A 2 ohm coil is great at 10 watts, but a .5 ohm coil wants 40.

Temp control IS the shiznit. I think this wick at 400F max COULD last my lifetime. It has only been hours, so I might be wrong about that, but after 10ml it still looks brand new.

Sub-Ohm vaping does NOT make sense with Kanthal, if you have a powerful regulated mod. With Ti, Ni200, and S.S., it is inevitable. There is not enough room in an atty to get out of it.

The Crown is not expensive, until you start using it.

Titanium coils can rejuvenate gear you thought was obsolete. Do NOT trust reviews of products and suggested wattage, without knowing what equipment was being used (A review of the Crown suggested 80 watts for the .5 coil, and I almost burnt the CRAP out of a new OCC, I suspect he was using a Cloupor).

There are 250+ variations of Pure Apple, depending on your gear. Perhaps taste ISN'T as subjective as we thought, given the DRASTIC differences that different gear makes, and it isn't all just better or worse, just.. Different, sometimes. Which really drives home the point of Mr. Mann's blog which he should have posted here. I am embarrassed to be writing this paragraph AFTER reading it, as you all could have already known this part.

New battery technology MIGHT come along before needing to recharge the brand new ones you have in a dual 18650 mod with a .45ohm Ti coil @400F.

Let me save some of you a LOT of research if you decide to try Temp Control. Joules are ONLY a function of how QUICKLY your coil heats up to the set temp. After that, temp control takes over and throttles everything down to maintain the temp. If you don't have ENOUGH set, you may NEVER reach your temp. If you have too MUCH set, your atty will rattlesnake immediately, imposing the "speed limit" on your temp right outta the gate. Fast is good, so I've found that increasing the Joules to the point of instant rattlesnake, then dropping them a bit is optimum imho.

I need more high VG Ahlusion. I hope I get a feedback coupon soon.

Of all the setups I tried, the Crown is the tastiest thus far. But my GOD it gobbles VG.

If you've lived through all this, you ARE a dedicated vaper.

Totally and that's why I'm satisfied with the moderate .6ohm single coil. It doesn't gobble juice and the flavor (for me) is better than super sub ohm. I need no special wire and the builds are kept simple
I've become complacent in my vaping style to the point that it's simply enjoyable and no longer a hobby.

I'm just a little short of 3 years--I think my start-vaping date is September 13.

So, speaking of Autumn Mist... I thought it was pretty good, but not amazing. I've been working on my bottle that is now around 6 months old, and Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, wow, it is SO good now!

edited to say: OK, I guess I (what's the opposite of exaggerate? Underrate?) understated... First, it's probably at least 8 months old. Second, it's actually beyond good. It's amazing.

Hi Busta! Long time no C!

@chanelvaps The RBA deck is the 2nd link I posted. Looks pretty promising to me, although I prefer to build my coils parallel instead of perpendicular to the post alignment to reduce leg length:

Thanks Louis for your help with the pics. I actually left the thread and went in search of pics for it. URRGGH I hate learning new equipment. I will certainly keep this atty an your advice in mind when I set out to buy the next topper for me

Thank you, Sirius. It does appear that I have shingles; thus far no rash.

Oh no! Penny, I'm so sorry to hear this. Did they put you on the medication for it? Everyone I know has had shingles. Both of my grandmothers and my mom had them. My daughter was 9 and my husband was 29! I finally got the vaccination for it a few years ago since I was taking prednisone off and on plus having injections.

Take care of yourself and I hope you have a mild case with a quick recovery. It's a good thing you got to the doctor so quickly.

Happy Belated Re-Birthday! It sounds like you've been having a great time. You're never too old to have fun! :p(55 is NOT old, as I told my husband yesterday. Lol) We're both 55. :)

I'm lucky that my husband doesn't mind my vaping hobby since he quit smoking "cold turkey" before I quit. He's been very supportive and even pretends to be interested.

I finally see the neurosurgeon today and find out if she can replace my stimulator implant! Plus I have a new rep from Boston Scientific (the maker of the stimulator) and he's super nice and wants to help. He showed up at my appointment Monday and will be there today, too. My last rep never showed up or returned phone calls so I'm optimistic that he'll be a big help with the surgery and programming.

Thank you Bukket! I hope all goes well for you, and Penny! Sounds like you are in good hands. 55 eh? Well, that's 3 of us...

No it's not! I still THINK I'm 25, although when I do "25" things, my body reminds me that I'm... not. ;) So now 4 of us...

I left 55 and moved onto 56 last Sunday and it is even more awesome than 55
Oh! 5 of us last week! I'll be joining you in a couple weeks. Can't wait.. Well, it beats the alternative.

Grats Louis! So nice to celebrate something this great!
We musta posted at the same time! Thanks Penny. I hope you dodge any serious problem. My Mom got those too on occasion. If I remember right, I never got the chicken pox so I think I'm safe but I sure commiserate with those afflicted.

So, speaking of Autumn Mist... I thought it was pretty good, but not amazing. I've been working on my bottle that is now around 6 months old, and Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, wow, it is SO good now!

Oooh, thx Lisa! I liked it a lot, but I finished it quickly. I will most definitely now re-order, and give it some steep time! Sounds FABulous.
