hello. welcome to the forum. not sure what your expericence is with electronics etc so...if you've never used an ecig before you might just want to start with a 3.7v model. the variable voltage model means you can dial in what voltage you want to vape at but then you need to be on the watch for what ohm atty you use. if you want higher volts, you need to use a higher ohm atty etc. plus you need to stack the batteries. the ali'i will take quite awhile to get. when he accepts orders (on certain fridays of the month), he then still needs to build it. that seems to take another 3 or 4 weeks. If you really want one of those, I would recommend getting another e cig to tide you over until then. YOu can pick up a mod type of ecig in the classifieds or buy something like an ego or riva. good luck!

Another vote for variable voltage.

Lots of good vv mods out right now, do your research and you'll be happy imo. If your just starting out just set the mod around 3.7 and you'll get the hang of it.

I like the idea of starting out on a vv mod since it should really cut down on the cost of vaping in the long run. I could have probably bought 2-3 nice vv mods for the same price as I paid for all the 510s / eGos / passthroughs kits I have bought in the past year lol.

I ordered two 510 starter kits, and eGo starter kit, a 5v passthrough (expensive as heck... doh), a silver bullet, and a Buzz. I still use the eGo, sb and the buzz.

The eGo with a cisco lr 306 is a beast and fairly cheap. I have been vaping for more than a year and this combo really shocked me! Cisco has his own site now and also sells the riva ( about the same as the eGo)

All over the place lol. I usually just looked around and found the cheapest place at the time. Most places are priced very similar so I try to get juice, attys and batteries from the same place to save on shipping.

Madvapes is great if your looking for standard ecigs and parts. They have great prices on juice and ship super fast.
