Is there a way to fix batteries that let too much air in when you inhale? Preferably an easy way

Yeah, the latest vapor titans require way too much airflow to activate the switch. Other than the toothpick trick, you can try using a needle to plug some of the airholes with tissue, or a little teflon plumbing tape on the threads.
I cut a condom so its open at both ends and slide it over the holes then line up where the holes are and cut 1 or 2 air holes out of it slide back on and line up the holes....no breaking things or sticking things in your batts

Clever! Bet it provides a nice grip too.
Do you think? That isn't my experience, quite the opposite in fact. I think I'll try the toothpick method. It's something I'll want to stay put.
Like your idea AdAmA, but want something a little less obvious looking, that fixes the particular batteries in question.
I think we are saying the same thing. My wife's two latest titans are very airy and you have to draw moderately hard to make them activate. Plugging the airholes pulls more air through the battery and the switch activates quicker.
Well that didn't work. Tried sticking toothpicks in & nipping them off, tried breaking them off. Not one of them stayed in.
Some days I feel pretty inept at this stuff.

Okay AdAmA, when you say you cut holes in the rubber where the holes are, do you mean the batt holes or the carto holes?
Do you keep one on each battery rather than having to switch it each time?
It seems to me that there ought to be a simple, elegant solution to such problems...

let me know if the pic's help you out....
after its cut put your cart on the batt...then slide the condom on the bat flat side up V side down then just move the V over a cart hole and the others should be covered

not sure how effective it would be but it might be worth trying...plug the holes with candle wax, light up the candle once you see wax "puddling" blow out the candle and drip it into the air holes...if anyone can try this and see if it works i'm curious lol
Ms. Katz another way (slight variation from AdAmA sir's way ) is using a condom, cut the end piece off, place it over the batt half way, screw the carto in with the other half of the condom covering it. Then poke holes onto into the condom (suggest starting with 2) using a larger gauge needle. If the draw is too stiff you can always add more holes until it reaches the draw you desire.

My worry is that plugging the holes might hurt the battery...is this unfounded?
Elmer's School glue works wonders, plus it's easily removable if you mess it up. As long as you don't get it into the center post hole, you can experiment with tight you want to make the draw.
And all this time I've just been slamming my finger over the spot where the batt meets the carto.
