Yep, same thing happened to me when i went to send in one of my Ali'i vv's for repair. Ryan only replied to the email I sent letting him know I was sending it in for repair. He emailed back right away and told me not to send it as he is not doing sales or repairs.

I emailed him again asking if he could supply a simple parts list for the Ali'i vv, just the supplier for the IC and pot that seems to be causing so many customers repeated problems. No reply. so he is reading emails, just choosing which ones to reply too.... nice.

Not sure why anyone would'nt want to help out thier customers by putting out a simple parts list on one of the forums. At five units a week for well over a year he collected over $50,000 from all of us, so you would think spending a few minutes to provide a parts list and basic instruction guide would be the "right" thing to do for your former customers. He seemed like such a nice guy..... of course that was when he wanted our business and money.

Do you really want to use the same parts that seem to be failing so much?

no way.. if that were the case i will pass on a repair.. a new controller chip needs to be put in these.

@Tybin - Sorry for the delayed response. We repair a variety of mod issues. Internal circuitry, Internal battery swap out, broken connectors or cases. We get ALL kinds of fun stuff in. We don't charge anything to diagnose the issue. And we normally just charge for the parts to fix it. The parts costs is what we pay for them. We're not trying to kill people in repair costs. Especially since you've already invested money when you bought the mod. I think we've all given enough money to the tobacco companies. vaping is suppose to save our lives and money!
If you need one, give me an idea of what issues you have. At the moment we're on a mission to fix the Ali's! Soon as we get them in I'll post if we can repair them or not. We're hoping it's an easy fix for the regulator.

Does anyone know where to get an exact replacement button - I got the old one off and just need to solder in a replacement. I would like to get the original switch, otherwise I might have to use some off the shelf radio shack switch and the thing will look goofy.

i noticed that metal plate that the batteries go in can be removed. maybe that gives better access to all the inards

I figured that I had nothing to lose, so I just grabbed it with a pliers and gave it a slight twist. It just popped right out. It's not held in by a washer... just some glue.

OK, got my button out - a bit of wood surrounding it came with it though. :-( Hopefully I can glue it all back together once I get the new button in and the damage won't be too noticeable.

Be careful when when you reinsert the button. I am so glad I ordered two switches. I got the first switch soldered and when I pushed the button back in, it broke off an ear. I made sure that the ears straddled the feed tube on the second one and its working fine now

Got my new button in...no deal. I get momentary voltage to the atty, but then quickly drops to zero. Must be the voltage regulator. Gonna send it in to Madvapes and see what they can do with it.

reporting in that ace of vapes has fixed one of my vv ali'i mods. they even sent a pick of it on the invoice. excellent communication. i'd use them again for an ali'i repair and i think they used a better regulator
