Hey guys!
So I got a Alien 220W mod about 8 months ago or so. I've had this problem for a bit and its gotten so much worse recently. I know just the basics about vaping.
So after taking X number of hits the screen displays "battery low" and then refuses to turn back on. In order to get it to turn on I have to take out the batteries, switch them, mash the fire button. Basically it takes 5 minutes to turn it back on. Its annoying. the "battery low" appears mid hit, and sometimes the hit continues even without me breathing it in and eventually stops when it dies. Sometimes while looking at it the A battery goes down to 0 and the B battery goes up to full. I don't understand if this is a connectivity problem or what. Let me know what you guys think!

P.S. my batteries are green and labeled 18650 3.7V 2500mah

One of your batteries is sagging in voltage it is sounding like to me. Big question, given how the batteries are reading, are you charging the batteries inside the mod via the USB port, or are you charging them in a dedicated external charger? The Alien220W states in its specs that it has what is termed balanced charging, though if I would trust it is another matter. What balanced charging means is that both batteries are monitored and charged independently of one another, where unbalanced charging then both are charged in tandem on the same circuit and one can be higher charged or overcharged while the other barely gets a charge or a slower charge before the charge cycle is complete.

This type of situation is why I tell everybody, you have a multi-battery mod, you "NEED" an external dedicated battery charger, no ifs, ands, or buts about it, a dedicated charger has only 1 job to do, charge batteries on independent balanced charged circuits and monitor each battery during charging in real time.

As it stands now, with one battery showing lower voltage than its twin, 1) you are going to need to get 2 more sets of batteries (one for use in the mod while the other set is charging on the external charger marked in sets, 1A 1B 2A 2B, or A and A B and B so you know which battery is married to another battery and only use them in those marked sets never mismatched (thus married together until death do the part), 2) if you don't already have one, get a dedicated external charger ASAP, Nitecore i2 2bay is less than $15 to $20USD, no excuses.

Sounds like you need new batteries. You should buy at least four, and "marry" each pair. Those batteries should always be used together in the same mod and never split up. They have to be charged together and used together.

The likely reason for the screwy battery behavior is that at least one is nearing the end of its useful life and once it discharges a certain amount, it is no longer able to provide the current needed to produce the Watts you're asking for. Your mod recognizes this and warns you that things ain't kosher.

Get a pair of high drain cells by LG, Samsung, Sony or Sanyo. Here's a chart from our battery Jedi Master, @Mooch.

A quibble here, my friend. So long as you keep the pairs married, meaning charge and discharge them at the same time, it does not have to be in the same mod. You can use a pair of batteries in Mod A, charge them, and then safely use them in Mod B. What you can't do is use them in Mod A, charge them, and then spit them up and put one of them in Mod B and another in Mod C.

Agreed. I was assuming that this was the OP's only dual cell setup. That may well not be the case.

All not true you can split them in mod b and mod c as long as mod b and mod c are single battery mods. But if you do this you cannot but them back together in mod a or any dual battery mod
