Haha, I bought shisha strawberry -- I think it was you who mentioned loving it. It's a very nice authentic "shisha" strawberry, but VERY dominant. Was playing trying to make my first try at strawberry milk. It was a lacking strawberry smell a bit, so I added 4% strawberry shisha. It tastes pretty good tbh, and while I don't know how the shisha strawberry tastes as a single flavor -- all I taste is a shisha strawberry. I'll try my strawberry milk again without the shisha strawberry, maybe add more tfa ripe strawberry this time. Again though, probably really nice as a single. What are you mixing with Andria?

Also reading back a bit, did you share your strawberries & cream recipe anywhere?

I posted it recently on the TFA thread, but that thing is a monster to try and read back on. :D

Inawera Shisha Strawberry 16%
TFA DX Bavarian Cream 6.50%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 4%
TFA Sweetener 3.50%
CAP Sweet Cream 2%

You can see I'm using Bill's High Flavor Mix style, and the "secondary" notes are exactly 16% -- balanced -- with the 16% strawberry. It's terrific!! (EDIT: it's also extremely sweet, so unless you have a monster sweet tooth as I do, I recommend going a lot lighter on the sweetener!)

Cool, I'll give it a try. Might have to use a different base strawberry though, and need to order more flavors...again. I did try to salvage my remaining ~5ml by adding more marshmallow, which gave a creamier taste along with double whipped cream (was using low percentages). For the heck of it, I threw in two drops of CAP Tangerine...worked surprisingly well but I'll tone it down to ~1/0.5% next time. Really punches the flavor while rounding it out. Actually killed 70% of the shisha flavor I was tasting and changed the flavor profile completely.

I'll post my own strawberry milk if I ever complete it...

Have you tried TFA's Regular Strawberry? What about FlavourArt Strawberry? I have yet to get FA's though I've read some good things about it, but TFA's regular Strawberry is nice. Strawberry Ripe smells and tastes really authentic to me, but without an actual strawberry to nibble on the freshness/"ripeness" tastes kinda funky albeit authentic.

I'm curious about what you mean by the "shisha flavor" -- to me it just tastes like fresh, soaked-in-sugar strawberries.

Totally agree! It's a remarkable bit of synchronicity; I had been thinking, I oughta start a thread for ALL manufacturers' flavorings, because I refuse to limit myself to just one, my recipes are all over the place, and lo and behold, Mr Mann did!

Yes, this thread compliments the TFA thread nicely, because so many of us have, and will continue to buy, other brands as well.

I really love both threads, even though I am new to DIY! :) I am learning so much, and Bill's 100 DT is making it so I can find what I like without wasting a lot of supplies.

Bill's 100 drop test. Put simply, you must use the same size droppers and each drop = 1%. So if you have 20 drop/ml droppers, you will be making 5 ml. Calculate your nic/pg/vg for your dropper size, then add your flavors as 1 drop = 1%. Small batches to test. If it is not right, you are not wasting much and easy to start again with another 100 dt to tweak your percentages. Increase a flavor 1%, add an extra drop (2%=2 drops). Great way to tweak flavorings without making big batches that turn out bad or not quite right.

"Shisha" is a flavored oil, soaked tobacco they use in Hookahs. It has a really strong shisha flavor to me, incredibly dominant even with only 4% it really tasted like hookah/shisha strawberry. I went to Egypt and a few countries that smoke shisha, and smelled a lot as all the locals there smoke it. I have 3 strawberries, TFA Ripe, Cap Sweet, and I think one more. I will play around those, but I'll only use the shisha strawberry as a single flavor, or a shisha fruit medley since for me it's too dominant.

Does it have a molasses-ness to it?

That could be it. I googled shisha and got think link to the wiki -- I think this is the exact term for what I am referring to as "shisha":
Mu

It is a very distinct flavor, and it DOES taste good, just very dominant. I'd mix solo, or try for like a Hawaiian/pineapple fruit shisha blend -- could be very nice. I don't know about for strawberries and cream/milk though...

Andria, did you ever smoke hookah before? Hookah bars are becoming really popular, most cities have at least one. If you went to one and asked for strawberry flavor I think you'd be surprised at the similarities, very authentic.

No, and never will, since I don't smoke tobacco anymore, and hope I never again feel the need for it. Plus, I'm much too old to be a "HIPSTER". :D I haven't been inside a *real* city (Atlanta) in years and years, and really hope I never need to do that again either. :D Just driving down the highway to get there (25 miles) is horrible; the 5-lane traffic, the car exhaust (and GACK, the diesel fumes)... I'm very happy to be 25-30 miles from the city! In fact, the "city" of Lawrenceville is almost more than I can bear, but I do like the convenience; when we lived a FURTHER 25 miles away, everything was a commute.

To me, a "hookah" is something from the middle east, and thus, to be SHUNNED, along with wife-stoning and obligatory imprisonment of females behind yards of hot black wool... IN THE DESERT! That's a crime against humanity right there.

I've been having great luck with OOO Flavors this past week. I can't stop vaping their Creme Brulee today. I'm using my VapeWell RDA on my Super T 26650. Their newly developed Cinnamon Roll is impressive. I also love the Custard and Burnt Sugar. I have more flavorings coming. :)

I have had some good and not-so-good flavors from OOO. But I guess that is the case with EVERY other co. I don't know where OOO gets their flavors, but their Dutch Apple Pie is a dead-ringer for FW's Dutch Apple Pie. I mean they are indistinguishable from each other. I may try their Banana Split to see if it is the same as FW. I don't think they are simply a front for FW becasue they have many, many flavors that FW does not have, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are a division of FW or something like that becasue there is some overlap.

OOO has treated me well though, so I do vouch for them in terms of service. I also like that they point out which flavors have diketones. If they say a flavor is DA-free, it likely means it has diketones though as you'll see other flavors they have that say DA/AP/acetoin free.

I had read that someone emailed OOO. They said they weren't affiliated with FW. Who knows really??? As for diacetyl, I get massive headaches if it's in my juice. So far I haven't gotten any headaches. As for the other diketones. If I get no reaction, leave it in there. It tastes great ! :D I can't wait to vape a glazed doughnut ! :D

Hmmm...that's interesting. But then again, I do believe I have seen someone say that FW doesn't even manufacturer their own flavorings, so it stands to reason, if that is the case, that maybe they use the same OG manufacturer?

Sorry for all the speculation, but it's weird when you order a flavor from two separate places and get the exact same thing. I guess it then only comes down to where you can get it for cheaper. haha. I got a 250 mL bottle of their Dutch Apple Pie for free simply becasue one of my orders got messed up, so even if some of their flavors are the same as what FW sells, I would sooner go to OOO.
