That's awesome of you Tanrichguy! I really appreciate it :toast: But, truth be told, I'm not really much of a collector myself either :p I don't know what I'd do with a second Micro other than put it up in the classies for trade. We'll see how much I like the SS one when it arrives ;)

No worries Mate! I put myself on just about every list I could find when I didn't have any gear. Now that some of it is trickling in I have to watch my vaping budget, lol.

So I just built a tankometer today, and decided to test the voltage drop on my mods. I can't explain it, but my Simplicity 14500 is showing a drop of 0.8 volts under load. As a point of comparison, my paps is showing 0.25-0.3 with the same atty.

I have a feeling that the Simplicity needs a more thorough cleaning than the one I just gave it--it lowered the voltage drop from 1 volt to the 0.8 I'm getting right now. The threads look like they need some more love, but I'm unsure of how to get them cleaner. I tried a toothbrush, but it's not getting any of the stuff in the threads out. Tried an eraser briefly, but it's just getting more stuff into the threads... Tried compressed air--not doing a thing. I'm not sure how to proceed...

Any suggestions?

What resistance load are you using and what brand/size battery are you using in the paps? Are you using a aw imr in the simplicity?

The atomizer is testing at 1.24 ohms.

I just popped fresh-off-the-charger batteries into both mods. AW IMR in both cases; 18350 in the Paps, and a 14500 in the Simplicity. Both batteries are testing at 4.22 volts in their respective mods.

They now both seem to be testing in the same range. 3.63 volts in the Simplicity and 3.57 in the Paps using the same 1.24 ohm atty.

Now I'm confused. I was testing earlier today and the Paps was showing 3.8ish volts on a battery that was reading in the 4.1 volt range while the Simplicity was reading about 3 volts flat on a battery showing 4 volts.

I'm dumbfounded...

Maybe the both need a good cleaning?

One area to pay attention in the Simplicity 14500 is the inside of the brass locking ring as the button makes contact in there and its easy to overlook. Wrap a bit of 400 or higher grit paper around a pen or the like, insert and spin. You may be able to use an eraser in there to clean also.

Thanks for the tip, David! I'll give it a try after work this afternoon.

We put 14 of the Simplicity 14500's up on the site. We're machining the buttons for them as we speak. Also, have the Simplicity 18000 Series in stock too! Don't miss out on the 18000 series as once those feeders for those hit(they won't fit the 14500 though), you'll find it hard to find a Simplicity anywhere!

Whew, just in time. I almost ordered a foreign product. My vape American policy remains intact. Thank you.

Just my luck. Ordered the 18350 last week wanting the 14500. No problem just ordered the 14500. Now I'll have both.

Got my Mini Micro the other week--it's PERFECT. It's just the right amount of juice for my work day. I leave home with a full tank, and get home right as I'm hitting empty.

Quick question,

Are there any trade-offs to using the AW "Black" Protected batteries (14500) instead of the AW "Red" High Drain IMRs? Seems to me that using protected batteries in a mod like this makes sense, in terms of battery safety, considering how there is not a fuse available (that I know of) like there is for the "18000..." mods

Better to err on the side of caution???

Just curious what everyone thinks

If you plan on vaping really low ohm coils, you'll want the high drain AW IMR's. Plus they're a safer chemistry.
