Since I use Super Shorty Carto's, the only time when I lock the button is when I am not using it (battery removed). The PS14.5 hits like a boss, absolutely lovin it...goodbye 18650's and hello 14500's!
i think the instructions that came with it say that you unscrew the post from the inside and the button will detach.
Use a Flathead screwdriver and unscrew from the inside, love that innovation.
I had to give the simplicity a good bath. These was a lot of either no load or machining oil on it. Once cleaned the device is great and looks wonderful with a spheroid brushed. I love that is doesn't slide down the hand as you fire it. This sucker is going to be my on the go workhorse. The button is very responsive, but be careful that the simplicity doesn't fire when standing up.
This why I will only invest my money into mods/accessories from Super T Mfr, they simply last forever, extremely durable, precisely manufactured, absolutely stunning, never misfire (for me at least), very minimal maintenance, extremely reliable, and the simplicity behind the innovations....this list could go on and on.
Why are people even mentioning this mod firing when standing up when it has a locking ring on it?
In other news, my wife dropped my Simplicity on concrete today... got an ugly nick in the brass ring and the button. I feel like sticking it in her *bleep* and firing it!

Oh and she has quite the collection of said designer too.... funny thing is, its cheaper to buy a whole new unit than to repair one of those!
I personally think it's important to make people aware. Not all mods fire when standing up, unlocked, with a topper. At least for my comment, it is not meant to be a shot at Super T or the simplicity, but just informative only. I have several Super T products and their quality of products is really second to none.

You could do what I would do.......Take a loss and sell it on the Classifieds, then order a new one since the are readily available.....I had a 5 week old Provari I dropped last year, put a nick on the top and bottom caps/SOLD.....Yes Im that OCD when it comes to my mods... All my mods are placed in a SuperT felt carry bag when I leave the house, offers some level of protection especailly against scratches........

i would buy a nicked one (hint hint) my mods are all beat up. they live in my pockets.
