LOL There you go again.
Repeat after me. THERE IS NO REAL DATA ON THE DANGERS OF E CIGS. NONE.
Sadly, my repeating your claim won't make it true. We have plenty of data to suggest that e-cigs pose no more threat than any other day-to-day activity you might casually perform. What we don't have is
an iron-clad guarantee that there won't arise some obscure, long-term, and frankly improbable health risk associated with regularly inhaling compounds we know
generally to be safe. There are also exceptional cases that may carry extra risk -- sub-ohm vaping, for example, or a preference for certain flavorings (notably diacetyl) -- but as a general principle, based on the typical use case, we know the risks to be negligible.
Read the Burstyn analysis. E-cig vapor falls well within OSHA air quality standards for the
primary user. That means that an employer can legally
compel you, as a condition of your employment, to breathe far worse air than what comes directly out of a PV. Needless to say, the risk to bystanders (from so-called second-hand vapor) is miniscule to the point of irrelevance.
Are e-cigs 100% safe? No, but certainly safe enough that it would be irrational for you to spend any considerable time worrying about the risk.
As for the possibility that a vendor (whether in China or elsewhere) might screw up your e-juice or your batteries, that risk always exists for any product you buy. Regulations might very well reduce that risk, but there is no magic wand to ensure total safety. Regular old tort law, along with various extant consumer protections, already provides most of the protection we're likely to receive from regulation.
`
In any case, the problems we face on a local, national, and even international level have very little to do with altruistic health concerns, and even less to do with the supposed antics of inconsiderate vapers. If you truly believe otherwise, then you're not paying attention.
Stop drinking the vaper kool-aid.
Start informing yourself.
