You all are beyond awesome - thanks so much for the input and opinions. I love the post Carlos. Unfortunately, part of my depression is also related to money. That's a whole different story in itself.

I've been vaping Halo MentholX all day with a brand new Melo all cotton coil by eleaf in my atlantis and I have been FINE. My eyes are clear. I cannot believe it. I cannot believe I suffered for a month thinking I had a PG allergy, chain vaping VG, and I now have no issues. I don't get it. I was popping allegra, eyelid washing, buying special soaps, taking fish oil (need it anyway for heart), and biotin, sucking down boatloads of water and gatorade to keep hydrated (this is good for me anyways too). This whole time I believe it's VG related.

I've vaped all different kinds of brands of VG juices. From Milk Man to Fusion to MBV to 4 Pillars to whatever comes in my zamplebox - all were max VG or 100% VG juices and all along that's what has been killing me. Ugh - You live and you learn.

I'm not sure if Halo uses better ingredients or the PG ratio is so high that the VG isn't bothering me. I'll have to email Halo and see what mix is in their MentholX but I'm so freaking happy.

I will admit that I puffed a cigar earlier today - it was so gross I put it out. I can't believe I smoked a pack a day.

I will update when I order a high PG juice and test further. I hope this helps people out. I'll post some before and after pictures after I edit out my ugly mug and just my eyes show. It really hit me when I realized when I woke up in the morning, my eyes were fine. Once I vaped a bit, beat red eye lids.

Halo won't tell you their PG/VG mix- it is a proprietary secret to keep the 'cloners' from copying their recipes, but they are high PG. Ingredients and purity can make a world of difference to those who may be susceptible to allergies or reactions.

Try their menthol and tobacco sample tins, and check out the Halo forum-

Halo

Oh, if you like cigars try their Black Calico-

Well, hello there fellow Floridian! I am in Orlando all the time for work - So many tourists!!!

Does anyone know of a good mostly PG vendor? The only one I can find is Zues Juice based out of St Pete, Florida. They have 100% PG or 90%PG/10% VG - It isn't cheap but their juices are amazingly good. I got a bunch of samples and they were amazing but $18 for 30ml can get expensive if I vape 5-8ml a day.

The inhaler I am on in Ventolin. I'd have to do more research, but I know it's albuteral. I don't know what that is comprised of.

So, I've been vaping this Menthol X by Halo eCigs....and my eyes look normal. I cannot believe it - I really may have a VG allergy. I'm mad though because I have an entire shelf of VG juices + more in the mail from Vista Vapors. Sigh - Atleast I found some kind of relief to this eye cure. You guys are awesome!! I'll continue to update!

Edit: I just dripped some pure VG juice on the inside of my elbow, Velvet Cloud Vapor - 0PG in it, and nothing happened. Atleast I tried...

I didn't notice you are in Tampa! I hope it's ok to give recommendations on shops here, but since you're in Orlando a lot I would look up Only E-Cigz. They only sell house-brand e-juice but IMO it is high quality stuff. I've only tried a handful of e-juices really, but his are so good and so inexpensive that I haven't found anything worth spending the money on. It could be that I need to look more. He can do any PG or VG mix, any amount of nic and can make custom flavors for you, all though you might have to wait. All the juices are mixed fresh, but I do know they have some steeped juices like RY4. They're on E. Colonial really close to Dean, and you can find them through a google search easily. The owner, Keith can tell you anything about the juices. If I remember correctly he tries to make them without any of the bad ingredients, but he rambles on about what he doesn't like to use and I can't keep all the info in.

Edit: I forgot to add that I get 40ml from him for $10. He sets you up with a dripper if you don't have one to try the juices and the 15ml are $5, great if you find a flavor you want to try but aren't sure about.

I used to have eye-reactions like this to a whole host of different stuff, when I was a kid -- cats (detergent allergy), the fire-starter fluid for BBQ grills (petrochemical sensitivity), fabric stores (dye allergy), the list just went on and on. Still allergic to cats, but a daily zyrtec handles that.

My reaction to VG is nothing like yours, but if I vape anything with more than 20% VG, I just can't breathe. And even 20% VG gives me the congested throat and coated vocal cords, so I stay at 83%-84% PG. I found 90% PG a little irritating, it gave me something like chemical burns in my throat and sinus cavity when I vaped 90% PG for several days in a row, but I know there are a few here who vape 100% PG. It really just depends on the person, what they can tolerate.

Sounds like me when I'm around cats. I take it you make your own juice?

Thanks I appreciate it! I'll have to check them out!

Pretty much, yes... and even if I buy any, I have to doctor it with WTA anyway, so I doctor it sufficiently to raise the PG to at least 80% -- at 80% PG I can breathe, though I do get that annoying congestion in my throat. There are places that will allow you to customize your juice -- sweet-vapes.com is the one I buy from most often, since they let me order Blueberry Muffin in 90% PG -- since I have to add the WTA anyway, which is 100% VG. ecblendflavors.com is another that allows PG/VG customization, and I know there are others.

Since it seems it's hard to find custom blended e-juice, I figured I should post their link up for those not in Orlando in case anyone wants to check them out. https://shippwrecked-e-liquid.com/

Really good juice and inexpensive.
I stopped there today as I was in the area. Keith does talk a lot lol. I told him I may have a vg allergy and he corrected me and said you mean pg right? I said no I vape vg now and I need pg. He said high pg is bad for my lungs and respiratory system and the highest they sell is 70vg, 30pg. He then went on to tell me his liquids are all top notch with no allergins or impurities ect ect. After talking to him I drank the Kool aid and figured for 10$ for 40ml I'll take the hype.

4ml vaped later, eyes on fire and itchy again. Sigh.

Back to halo juices again. I appreciate the recommendation though. Atleast I can say I tried!

I am in the same boat. I stopped vaping for a while because my right eye was red all the time. I figured out that I vape from the right side of my mouth and the vapor that exits the mod on a mouth to lung ended up on the right side of my face, thus entering my right eye.

I went from a 70 VG juice to a 40 VG juice and it has gotten a lot better. And it's not just my eye, but my chest gives me "tightness" problems even at low nic levels. Reducing the VG helped me a lot, but it's still not perfect. It is tolerable, however.

Of course, it could be flavors as well. There's so many variables to flavors that it's impossible to know. The easiest way is just to vape unflavored for a while and see if it continues. If it does continue, then you know it's the PG/VG. If vaping unflavored clears it up, then you know it's some flavoring. If that's the case, all you can do is experiment with flavors/brands until you find one you can tolerate.

I also want to ask you high PG'ers how is the vapor production? Does 80+% PG give decent clouds?

Seem quite "decent" to me, but I'm not trying to change the weather. It's roughly like what I exhaled when I smoked, maybe even a bit more than that, from the Magma, using a 1.3Ω coil.

Even 90% PG gives good plumes for ME, a little light perhaps at 2ohms 4volts but now at 0.5 ohm and 25-35 watts...just beautiful clouds.

I'd also like to add one more "variable" that has not yet been taken into account here...

Any best before date on store bought juice may not accurately reflect the BBD on the base liquids.
One will NEVER know how old that PG/VG was that is being used in their juice or how much it had been exposed to the air/possible contaminants.

Aside from price and being able to personally "tailor" my DIY on the fly, one very important aspect for me is ALWAYS knowing my PG is as fresh as possible, uncontaminated and, according to my bottle of PG should be good until April of 2019. And BTW, it ain't never gonna last that long 'round here. Cheers.:vapor:
