Heads fist approach is ok, just enjoy researching first to have fun with it and make sure the device has the size, features and benefits you are looking for. It seems that many people work their way up...but if you have the funds to dive head first, go for it! . Provari is great, I would simply spend a little time in your research!

I am going to disagree with most of the advice here and say that I wish I had gotten a ProVari first. I started with a small 510 lasted about a month then went back to analogs. A year later got a bigger penstyle lasted about 6 weeks went back to analogs. September of this year I got given a Chuck to use until I got my provari. I haven't had a bit or trouble learning what works with or how to work it. The thing is I find that from week to week I like different things and you can use anything you want on it. Today I like my juice at 4.0 volts tomorrow it may be 5.0 volts. I got a various array of attys and a couple of juices that I knew that I liked, and had an atty, volt testing night. Figured out what resistence, ohm, and voltage I liked best then ordered DC cartos for a tank to match that. Now I fill my tank in the morning and happily vape away all day. All that being said You have to be in the right mind set to quit. I don't think i was with the first 2 tries. Best of luck to you!!

I smoked for over 40 yrs, was a 2 pack a day smoker..marlboro reds..so take heart e-cigs will work, I now am totally analog (cigarettes) free.

I get where your coming from, Go to KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit and check out this $44 kit, and get some 1.5ohm clear dual coil cartomizers there also, free shipping on orders over $55. Get some juice there also, they have some good juice, Brent owns this site and is very reliable.

Using this 1100mah battery will give you an all day vape on a charge and you get 2 with the kit...the cartos give you all the flavor, throat hit, and ease of use your looking for. I have over 50 mods, beleive me when I tell you, I dont use my Provari or Darwin near as much as this unit..this is my go to device. Its easy and it just works well.

Both can be used, they just give you an error if you crank up the volts too high. Highest volts I have gotten without an error is 4.2

You can go get yourself a Starter Kit of EGO-TB or the lastest EGO-C
Next get yourself some eliquid from any online store.

When you confident that you are able to quit smoking,
Get yourself a Provari with a tank mod.

To me the best 'bang for the buck' is the Ego/Kgo/ Riva. Preferably the latter two since they are at a slightly higher voltage then the Ego. They are fixed voltage so lots less to 'learn'. Also getting a couple different carto's. My favorites are the smoktech 1.7 XL's and Boge 2.0 for this set up. Smoktech has recently come out wit a couple inexpensive tanks that work really well.

The gift you got was a nice gesture, but many find them lacking when craving an analog. That's where these other models shine. By changing out a carto to a higher nicotine level and using a slightly lower level for the rest of the day.

And there's so many vendors selling all sorts of e-liquids with lots of varying flavors. It takes a few weeks to find a few that satisfy.

Don't give up or feel bad for having an occasional cigarette while working out the bugs. I bought a carton just for this. Took longer to finish that carton then I could have imagined. By the end of that I knew I was ready to quit smoking, since I was only smoking 2-3 a day just to get rid of them.

I returned my prosmoke and got an ego-c... complete world of difference. The prosmoke is just a mediocre at best unit.

i fought with njoy 4081 or a few months, and have to say i hate cartridges due to that experience. Then i got a Ego-c. no muss no fuss. been about a week im still on first atomizer, vaping dekang 555 24 mg with a few drops per 10 ml juice o' peppermint oil. mmmmmm. easy to learn parts readily available and it puts out good vapor. charge lasts all day. small amount o leakage present. unit is not bad looking either. get one while you can.

I did it ... I jumped. Ordered my Provari starter kit and awaiting arrival. I looked at all the options and decided that I could waste a lot of money on some other fine and good but not the best e cig mods and maybe be unhappy. So go for the best and save the money. My main reasoning was being able to adjust the voltage for that sweet spot for the different juices I have ordered. I was just going to try some higher strength juices in the ProSmoke kit I have (and I will still use that for when I go out on business etc because it's more feminine).

I thank everyone for the good advice and helping me make the jump. Now I'm going to look at tanks ;p Maybe just a big bucket I can hook up to the Provari with a tube ha ha.

Update ... although I did order the ProVari and very very pleased with it I still have the ProSmoke kit which I don't recommend because all it's components are proprietary. Be that as it may, I like that it is reg cigarette in form (except I have it in black which I like) and it has a nice cigarette box carry case with a recharger in it so I can be charging an extra battery plus have one ready to smoke and additional cartridges .. it's nice. I have tried some stronger juices in the carts that I saved and it really smokes great! Good vapor and smooth taste ... perfect for when I go out of the house ! So all in all it's a nice system, just wish it was compatible with other carts and such.
