I would say go for it. Small battery devices are frustrating. Who want's to be frustrated while you are trying to quit? If you have the cash then buy what works.

I honestly don't understand the comments saying to for something more simple. What can be more simple than something that works?

I would suggest the vivi nova as well. If this was a person on a tight budget I would suggest a good lava tube or something else.

Congratulations, I'm sure you'll love your new ProVari and juices, the only advice I will give you is get another device as a back up. Despite what some forum members believe, it is possible for the ProVari to fail, or to lose it, or for someone to pinch it. Nobody should have only one device, get yourself a twist or a VV kgo or even another ProVari, just have something to use if something goes wrong.

There's different ways to quit the stinkies. Whatever works for you.

I allowed myself a few cigs a day when I started vaping. Over a week's time, I gradually disliked the cig's taste more and more, and enjoyed the vaping even more than that. When the cigs start tasting nasty, and they will, that onlly reinforces quitting the habit.

I completely agree, as I'm in this phase right now. On top of cigs tasting nasty and reminding me why I'm quitting, they also alleviate the panic of not having my security blanket. Plus, if you look at one cig as a failure you're just putting more pressure on yourself. One doesn't mean you have to keep smoking. It just means you had a cigarette.

I got my ProVari AND my juice! Started vaping tonight! :vapor: It's different, still adjusting  ...still smoking my cigs too tho... I can't wait to play with more flavors... I definitely need something to try the different flavors out besides cartos. I got my juice shipment from Virgin Vapor very fast...

Awesome! I am really glad you decided to go for the Provari. As soon as you find a juice you really like, then giving up the analogs won't be so bad. Don't be afraid to try lots of different flavors, as well as vendors. You might find a flavor from one vendor that you kinda like while you may find the same type of flavor from another that you just love.

Anyway, good luck and happy vaping!

Congratuatins. You will never regret getting the Provari. And its ok to allow yourself just a few cigs while you start out vaping, as long as your primary nicotine delivery is from your new Provari and not the cigs. Each day try to smoke less of them. Very soon you will enjoy the cigs less and then they will actually start tasting bad. At that point, don't buy any more.

I don't recall if you stated what analogs you used. You'll never find a juice that can duplicate the taste of those, but if you smoked a menthol brand be sure to have an ice menthol flavor in your first juices; if not a menthol cig, find a tobacco flavor or two. Your success may improve if you have at least one flavor that you can count on. For me, I smoked Marlboro Menthol, so the ice menthol was my first go to juice flavor.

Virgin Vapors is one of the better juice vendors. A couple of Annette's flavors are in my current top favorite flavors. The Kona Milkshakes are great, as well as her Root Beer Float. Saying that tho, a few of her flavors I just didn't care for; it just goes to show that everyone's taste is extremely subjective. Just beware that many of the Virgin Vapor juices need a week or two to steep (mature) to reach their potential. First time I tried her Kona Velvet Mlksk, I was very disappointed. I allowed it a couple of weeks to steep and tried it again, and it had transformed into my second favorite flavor.

I never learned to drip, I just could not get the hang of it. Should that happen to you, there is another easy way to test new flavors w/o needing to use a cartomizer or atty. Get a pack of ce2/ce3's like the next picture shows. These devices are reusable--if you don't like the test juice, remove it, rinse with water, and then refill with the next juice. They require very little juice, the device is clear to see the juice, no polyfill to change the flavor, do not retain the previous flavor like a carto would, reusable yet inexpensive. They do require the included small needle and syringe to fill, but its easy to do. Usually find these in the clearomizer category of vendor websites.

Don't waste your money buying larger juice flavors from each vendor; you may not like it and then you got all that juice you can't use. Buy trial sizes for $3-6, whatever is the smallest quantity offered. Some vendors offer some sort of sampler pack to try a group of flavors at a reduced cost. Once you like a flavor, just reorder in a larger quantity, and you'll have it within a few days.

Get ideas on what flavors to try by scouring the two juice forums here. Just remember that everyone's tastes and favorites are very subjective and may not be the same as yours. I consider myself lucky if my success rate for liking a trial juice is 40%.

To protect your new Provari, make a do-it-yourself rubber sleeve. Its made from a motorcycle dirt bike handlebar grip (about $8). Available in a few colors. These come in a pair, and will be two different sizes; the larger of the two is the one you need, practice your cuts on the other one. You can use an X-acto knife to cut out the necessary holes for the power switch and display window. Cut out most of the bottom part too to be able to push up on the Provari to remove the sleeve to get to the battery. The size is perfect, and besides protecting the finish, provides a great grip on your Provari.

The above sleeve grip fits snug and you'll have access to the power switch and display. It slides off relatively easy to be able to change out the battery. Both the regular sized Provari and one with the extension cap will fit. I would imagine the Mini Provari can use one, too, the cuts will just be different.

Completely agree and I was the same way. 2 cigs a day for the first few days, then 1 a day for a few more, and haven't wanted one since. I did try one about a month into vaping and it just tasted disgusting and made my head feel "stuffed".

Congratulations! I love my Precious (Provari), and I'm sure you'll love yours as well. As for flavor testing, you'll probably want to invest in a couple of good dripping atomizers and maybe a drip shield or two. Also, you may want to look at the CE3s for low capacity and great performance for those "not an all day vape, but great flavor" juices you find.

BTW - Another good reason for getting something like an eGo Twist (or two) for backup is that if you're out on the town and you lose or damage an eGo Twist setup, it won't set you back nearly as much as having to replace the Provari. I tend to use the Twist setup when I'm out or at work, and it's a great setup for that purpose.
