Am I the only one that does not like DIY with Lorann Flavors?

I've been mixing my flavorless with Lorann for a while and found them sickeningly sweet or losing flavor really fast!..I missed the slight tobacco flavor..!
But I just tried Nuck's mix which is his hard work in figuring out Intellicigs Ecopure formula and wow!..amazing!!!:thumb:
the end formula is clear looking too..so less probability of lowering the life of an atomizer with all that dark gunk from some Lorann flavors or some of the undiluted ejuice flavors out there !..

As promised I`ll keep you posted about my DIY experience in this thread

1. Coffee - I dont like it but it is the best out of the other 5, my lady likes it

2. Raspberry - no, mixed with cheesecake - Ok, for me, but still dont like vaping that...

3. Plain Cheesecake - no no no

4. Mint Chocolate chip - Oh my lord, it is terrible, I still have that taste in my mouth I dont even want to remember it...

5. Watermellon - hmm, tastes and smells like bubble gum, it is not bad, but I would not vape that on a regular basis as well..

13 more to go.... but in my experience up to now they all seem so sweet and I really hope I`ll like at least some of them

Here is an addon:
6. Brandy - gross, I dont`t think I`ll try to mix that again, probably when gain a lot more DIY experience

7. Coconut - very good (but not for vaping on a regular basis)
I would say it is not too sweet
Recipe:
20 drops unflavored 18mg from eastmall
5-6 drops VG bought from the local pharmacy *
4 drops Coconut flavoring

8. Cherry - Very good (I think I`m gonna experiment more with that one, maybe add it to a tobacco flavored liquid, add menthol etc...)
Recipe:
20 drops unflavored 18mg from eastmall
5-6 drops VG bought from the local pharmacy *
3 drops Cherry flavoring

* (btw it says on the bottle 85% Glycerine + 15% distilled water which I thought is okay to use in my mixing)

P.s. I have opened and just smelled:

- English Toffee
- Chocolate hazelnut

I did not like the smell and did not dare to mix them at this point of my experience

Two of our favourites! (I particularly love the choc & hazelnut with a cup of coffee... yum!)

I have to admit that I only opened the bottles and smelled them. But they smelled very close to the Brandy which I did not like..so I decided to skip mixing them for now... I guess I should try.

Another thing is that I might have used too much brandy flavoring as it seemed very very insanely strong to me. Probably it was just my mistake and should give the Brandly (one of the ECF favorites as well) another go...

I've given up on LorAnns after ruining enough batches.

Ordered 36mg flavourless from JuicyLiquid and will cut that to 10mg. Bought non nic flavourings from liquid express and will add that to the mix. Hopefully this will result in a more satisfying vaping experience. BTW, Liquid Express ships non nic flavouring products to Canada. :D

I'm sorta at the same place with the Lorann's stuff.

I wasted a LOT of unflavored (and PG and VG) mixing up 1 and 2mL (and one 5mL) batches using the Lorann's strawberry and NONE of them I would have fed to the toilet :-(.

I got several more when I ordered the strawberry and now I am afraid to even try them.

The one exception to that was the orange cream, that worked out pretty well using the hack-o-matic but the same sure can't be said for the strawberry and I am just not real willing to pour expensive e-liquid down the drain to find out. Sigh...

Heh, perhaps there was a reason I couldn't find a recipe using strawberry :).

The flavors from LiquidExpress seem to be doing a LOT better, but it takes a lot of them, but I can live with that :).

I adore the smell of Chocolate-Hazelnut neat in the bottle, but have to add quite a high proportion to my juice (60/40 VG/MarlboroHigh) to get the taste. It seems to come thru randomly.

Because stocks were so low the last time I ordered, I got Black Walnut - not impressed at all with that.

I don't think I shall be buying a lot of Lorann, it seems rather expensive*. Yet... I've given up ice-cream, crisps and chocolate  Oh! and cigarettes :D

*That's ordering one or two bottles at a time, when the P&P is significant.

Approximately how much liquidexpress flavoring do you use (compared to Lorann's ~15%)?

I just tried the RY4 and Cool rush flavorings from liquidxpress.... Its is true that you need A LOT of the flavoring as it is not cencentrated like loranns. For the RY4 I mixed a 10ml bottle using almost 5.5mls of flavoring. (Im new to the RY4 craze, but it seemed too weak so I added more) And for the Cool Rush I mixed a 30ml batch and used the whole bottle of cool rush, and still needed something. The taste was good, but still weak so I added 2.5ml of LorAnns creme de menth, and some menthol crystals, and now its perfect!

Im still giving the LorAnns a try but if things keep going the way they are I will be off to post on the classifieds as well!

the only flavors I have found that I really like were the Creme de Menthe, and Bubblegum. I kinda like the watermelon too, but find my bottles lose flavor a short time after mixing.

You have to use so much of it, like 60%, it's not even worth it. The prices of them are the same as buying liquids with nic in them with full flavor in the first place. They are so watered down and weak. It totally defeats the purpose of cutting liquids to save money.
