Obviously you have never had a clove cigarette, because they are saturated with clove oil. Most if not all the flavor bases from the research I have seen on testing flavors for ecigs, 75% of them were oil based.
And yes I understood that "Water soluble" doesn't have anything to do with whether it will separate in your juice, just heading that off at the pass. It is just frustrating that when you mention oils everyone says it will kill your atty, and I have had people tell me it wont mix in VG/PG, which it does, along with the "check the Loranns list, if it says insoluble you can't use it"
Hey if you choose not to use oil that is up to you, but where I have posted that I use it I always say 1-3 drops per 10ml it does not take much. I have used pretty much every oil Lorann produces and they vape and taste wonderful.
Just like you I have an opinion and if you choose tobbaco flavor all day that is up to you, I like flavors. Thanks for the information though, and keeping me straight.
Dan
I'm not saying don't do it. Just pointing out concerns that I and others have. I like flavors too, just not all day is all I was saying.
And yes, I've had a clove cigarette. Yuck city. Also, there's this:
Wikipedia said:It is considered safe in very small quantities (<1500 p.p.m.) as a food additive.[3] However, clove oil is toxic to human cells.[4] If ingested in sufficient quantity or injected, it has been shown to cause life-threatening complications, including acute respiratory distress syndrome, fulminant hepatic (liver) failure, and central nervous system depression; the lethal oral dose is 3.752 g per kg body weight.
I definitely wouldn't use clove oil in an e-cig, but mostly because I hate the taste. I mean, I've done plenty of bad crap to my body, so I can't judge here, but I figure there are enough different flavors that aren't oil based that I can get by without using them. I mean, I pretty much smoked the same flavor cigarette for 16-17 years, so a variety of 20 or more flavors to choose from is a big step up as far as I'm concerned.
