I just sent my GreenSmoke back because of the lack of a throat hit and got a Nebula from vapornine.com. The Nebula is 20x better in my opinion. Personally, it's more important to me to feel like I'm smoking a cigarette than to look like it. Also, if you noticed when you were smoking analog cigarettes, when you exhaled you weren't producing a ton of smoke, so I'm not sure why everyone is so concerned about vapor production. Anyway, just my opinions on them.

I am pasting this from another post I made...hope it helps with people who aren't getting a lot of vapor with their KR808d ecigs.

Vapor Production on the KR808 has a lot to do with the battery and the carts you use. I have been vaping these from almost day one that they were introduced... believe me there is a lot of variation. We have carts that have large notches and carts with small notches. Then you have batteries with small holes and batteries with large holes. The carts can be filled correctly or overfilled/under filled. The combos that work are large hole/small notches or large notches/small hole. For example a large hole battery and large notches cart would not produce a lot of vapor. The best combos was the original one....large hole battery and small notch cart. With that combo you get as much if not more vapor with the KR808s as with the 510. Also this depends heavily if the carts are filled correctly. Now days most of the carts are overfilled...when you open them up they are pooling with liquid. This chokes the atty and the vapor production isn't very good. If you open the cart up and see that the cart is overfilled just blow out some of the excess liquid on to a paper towel before starting to vape. You will see that it makes a dramatic difference.

Hi Just my 2cents, Maybe you do have some batteries that are not up to par. I know it would be hard to believe 4 different ones from 2 venders though. I get decent vapor on mine some flavors are more then others but I get wonderful throat hit and the taste is the bomb on most flavors which I know is also subjective. I sold all of my gear I mean all of it 510s 401s 901s 801s 401s ecigars, pipes etc for the simplicity of the 2 piece set my choice vender is V4L although I have tried puresmokers batteries and cartos and lite cigs carts, for the price and comparison. I would contact your vender and ask for replacement batteries. hope it all works out for you

I do love this battery..last at least 5x longer than my 510's were. Very frustrating!
I have also tried to vape a 6mg (vaporkings.com) and still finding to harsh and vapor going in but not out.. after I refill with e juice I am getting much better production I just preffer my 901 atty or green cig carto's (nhaler.com) with this battery
I have found it to be more consistant than my 901 battery.. do you all know you can use a 901 atty on your kr808 without an adapter or a carto? The most consistent vape ever you will get from a 901! Awesome stuff!
I also use green carts on my auto and manual batteries.. with the manual you need to use a staple mod or the adaptor from vaporcountry.. awesome awesome vapor and I refill these with Nhaler.com's HV juice or reg jices.. he has flavors to match almost all the carto flavors to allow easy refill and they are made in usa.. big plus for me.
He should have empties up on site tonight or tomorrow.. I am hoping to get a better experience with these!
Hope this helps you some Jessa!

Still real new to all this but are you saying that it is possible to use a 901 atomizer with or without the cartridge on the KR808D-1 battery? If so does it matter if it is the pen style atomizer and not need a adapter?
I read somewhere else that it is then possible to direct drip, is that true also?

Thats correct....KR808D-1 batteries are threaded the same as a 901..so you can put a901 atty on a KR8 battery and use a cart or not and direct drip...
Conversely, this means that you can use a KR8 cartomizer on a mod made for a 901 (though on some you might experience draw issues and have to use a staple mod or use a 901 to carto adapter (threaded the same just has a little extension with a hole in it for airflow)

TY,
That is what I though but wasn't sure, now gonna go get the 901. Noticed their is a 5pc cartomizer for KR808D, does this fit all KR808 and 901 and what is it? It looks like one big cartomizer?

box of 5 cartomizers (5 pieces)..
as for fitting all KR8 and 901 models..I'm not sure I've heard that depending on vendor there may be some compatabiliy issues between cartomizers and KR8 batteries from different suppliers..
I just know if I want to put a 901 atomizer on my KR8 battery I can...or if I want to use a cartomizer on my 901 battery mod I need an adapter

No it is not just like the normal box of 5 piece cartomizers, I have those. It is on a vendors shop and not seen on any of the other. Just looks like 1 cartomizer but is about 5 times the size. Think I will email them and find out. Thanks for your info though.

Hope I don't ruffle any feathers, but I think this is the appropriate place to post this.

The only thing I like about it is the concept. I have two from V4L (one's a manual), and two from Vapor Kings. They're all the same. There is almost NO vapor. I guess I'm spoiled with my Green Smoke (tons of vapor) but it's the tiniest plume (or none at all) when I exhale. I am just so disappointed with it.

I'm going to try Greencig, and if that doesn't do it I'm going to stick with my Green Smoke. The only thing I don't like about GS is that the throat hit is very weak. I hope I can find the best of both worlds.

After being quite fickle, and stating that I liked the KR808D-1 better, (battery lasts longer) I have changed my mind once again. Green Cig IS better. I noticed that with the KRbla bla bla (sick of typing this out - wish there were a shorter name) Duo Pro, I found that it was drying out my membranes! My lips were dry, my eyes burned also from these. To top it off, I ordered another battery from them, and it was like sucking air through a straw. The product was inconsistant. Also, and this is the worst -- When I went online to order more cartridges, to my horror they only have tobacco flavor and menthol. I ordered the tobacco flavor, and they are vile!! I have put away the entire kit, and just chalked it up to a loss.
Green Smoke on the other hand, has very pleasant tasting carts. Although I wish the battery lasted a bit longer during the day, you do get a nice amount of vapor from these, and the draw is effortless. I just ordered another battery and two boxes of Apple flavor. They say you can't detect an order from these things, but my husband, who smokes reg. cigarettes, always says, Ummmm! Cotton Candy! So, anyway, fickle me, I definately like the Green Smoke better. I only hope that the government doesn't ban flavors, and I have to get the dreaded "tobacco" flavor. If I do, I hope it tastes better than the Duo Pro ones!

Am I the only one who likes the KR808D1? I hope not. Honestly I didn't like it at first. I was not getting the vapor I was expecting from it. One early morning when the call of duty was done I remained seated, you know where. I was pushing the switch off and on just playing with it. When I push the switch longer I was hearing a gradual build up of a sizzling sound coming from the cartomizer and it will slowly diminish in sound intensity. I decided to try to push the switch for a second or so and then take a long draw (like dring soda on a straw). Boy oh boy...clouds of vapor and what a throat hit. That is the way I have been vaping with my 808 ever since. It works 99% of the time.

I'm not familar with the Duo-pro - who sells these? If you want KR8 cartos in lots of flavors try Vapor4life. They have tons of different flavors.

And who sells the Greencig?

thanks

I am very interested in these cartomizers but I do have a concern and hopefully you can clear this up for me. I would like to know the ingredients of the artificial flavorings you use to fill the cartomizers. I haven't been able to find any info on this and it concerns me vaping tis stuff everyday.
Thanks for your help.:)

ok, i was fairly underwhelmed with the vapor production on my kr8 when i got it as well. after messing around with it and trying different things, i discovered that if i take half a drag, inhale it and then take another drag right after that (this is actually from years of habit from smoking while playing guitar on stage and holding my analog in my mouth) i get pretty consistent clouds of vape instead of getting virtually nothing at all. i have absolutely no idea why this works, but it seems to for me.

Thank God I'm not the only one...

I received 2 new kits yesterday...my first V4L product, a PCC kit with the 'Soda Shop Sampler' carto kit and a Ego from Happy Vaper. (As Jack describes is on the website 'our beloved 510 on steriods').

Considering I already have 4 510's, (one kit was SUPPOSED to be a Vapor King, but I ordered from Electronic Cigarettes Inc. and got a 510 with different graphics.), I was more than excited when I saw my package from V4L.

However, the vapor production isn't even HALF of any of my 510's and the flavors were good for about the first 20 drags, but then faded very quickly! I WAS given an 'extra', a pack of 5 555 carts, which taste TERRIBLE! (Not bashing, it was VERY nice of them to include ANYTHING outside my original order.)

Disappointing, to say the least.

I have a 2nd order coming for some of their premium carto's, so I'm hoping that they're MUCH better. However, the price is rather daunting too, at 11.00 for a box of FIVE, I wonder how long they're going to last! I'm an admitted 'chain-vapor' and, with the shipping to Canada costing me almost 20.00 (!!!), they'll have to be MIND-BLOWING for me to re-order.

On the other hand, the Ego is amazing and has lasted me, (keep in mind I'm still a 'chain-vaper'), TEN HOURS and it's STILL going strong!!

I WILL continue to give the KR8 a chance, but I'm rather surprised it wasn't the 'Fog Machine' everyone's saying it is...at least for me.

I don't like the flavors from V4L. I know many people think they are fantastic, but there are bunches of us (we generally keep quiet because people seem to attack us a lot) who find they have a nasty perfume-like taste overpowering the advertised flavor. So I order empty cartomizers from them and I use the condom fill method and my own liquid. I use a higher VG liquid and that helps with the vapor production. The new 'premium' cartomizers are supposed to run hotter - more like a 510 however they aren't available empty yet.

The Kr8 suits me when I am driving or when I can't mess with changing cartridges. I like the 510 for lots of vapor. And I use my M401 when I want flavors! I have several small mods that take care of the battery life issues with all of them. I haven't found the perfect PV yet... but I'll keep looking!

Good luck with your search! :)
