I rewick my Kayfun on average 2-3 times a day. I dry burn after every tank. The Aqua2 is an excellent tank. But at this point, I'd call it finicky. It takes a while to get it just right. If you get one, I would go straight to the split wick method. Be sure to use an extra screw they give you, and plug the other air hole off. I use the Magma pretty often. But if I use it too much during the day, I end up pulling too hard on my regular tanks. I have to force myself to do a lighter vape with them. That is just me though. Your mileage may vary.

I dunno, when I was vaping the Virginia, it was only 8-9mg, so I was going thru at least 5-6ml daily -- and with that stuff, it was every TWO weeks. It was only when I went to the sweet stuff that I had to go to weekly.

Sweeteners to seem to gunk up coils rather quickly. Clay at NET.com once told me he avoids real sugars, of any kind, because it gunks up the coils so badly.

Yeah I use the TFA Sweetener, concentrated sucralose. But I'm pretty sure it's because that shisha strawberry is organic that it gunks so badly, plus it's a "high flavor mix", and I'm sure that contributes as well. But what the hey, it's my first DIY that's absolutely GREAT, so I can either a) get some other strawberry and mess around with the recipe indefinitely, or b) get a good RDA that will accommodate my vaping style, and enjoy the hell out of my strawberry and cream. I choose option b. :D

Also I use WTA, and I think that contributes, too -- I was already using WTA when I went to the blueberry muffin too, and I was also trying out rayon wicking at the time; rayon wicks great for really clean juices, but for gunkers, I thought it was the pits, so I went back to organic cotton, it just seems to work better with my gunker ejuice. Maybe because you use so little cotton compared to rayon, and it seems that the thicker the wick is, the more it gunks. No idea if any of that is 'scientifically' valid, just my own observations.

Ooooooooooooooh I'm so excited! I did order that amgaM, and it's on its merry way here, from Hawaii! The tracking SAYS Monday, but y'know, that and a couple bucks will get me a coke.

We also got a very unexpected check for almost $200, so I went kinda nuts today buying all sorts of goodies!

Some 30ml bottles from Amazon
Some 60ml bottles, 1ml syringes, and 16ga needles from WizLabs
"Throat Hit Nicotine" and INW Shisha Strawberry from VapersTek
AND THAT GALILEO MOD I'VE BEEN LUSTING OVER FOR MONTHS! and a Smok Kick, from madVapes... 15% off storewide at MadVapes right now, if anyone cares.
and some of my regular Blueberry Muffin from Sweet-vapes... and I think I'm also going to get a KFL+ v1 from them, just $24.95 for the "gold" one, would look teeeeeerific on my gun-metal Vamo. And they sure do have good prices on AUTHENTIC AW batteries.... hmmmm....

Boy I got some great vapemail coming!

Sounds like Andria has got the Stalking the Mailman Blues

Just for clarification purposes; I mostly vape Reos Mods. If I have mentioned the Veritas or the Cyclone, these have been remodeled for use on a bottom feed mod. And I use them in single coil mode. I use Kayfuns on my ProVari. If I were to get a Dripper for the ProVari, I might lean towards the Veritas. It seems to have a depper juice well, and works great in single coil mode.

Yep! My kitchen window looks straight out the driveway to the mailbox; you oughta see me lurking there, when I hear the "vroom-pause-vroom-pause" of the mail truck; like Snoopy on the doghouse. :D

And I do think I'll get that KFL+ v1 from sweet-vapes... but probably ought to buy groceries first. :D

PawPaw,

I agree, and don't want the additional hassle of a dual coil. My current setup is an Istick and Lemo , usually at about 1.5-1.7 ohm build. That said, I have been debating getting a REO grand with RM2. I'm a complete doofus with coil builds and the RM2 appears to be the absolute simplest setup there is. I struggle sometimes building coils because I am impatient and not that coordinated.....and my wicking doesn't always come out just right on the Lemo. I can usually manage something of a decent vape......but that RM2 appears idiot proof.

Thoughts? Am I just convincing myself to buy something different again? Been vaping since Sep 2014, and frankly don't want to just keep truckin down the rabbit hole for the next best thing. I really kinda think the Reo + RM2 might be the simplest deal with the easiest build. I already know clearos + prebuilt coils aren't satisfying to me. The Lemo works, but I sometimes struggle for 30mins to get a decent build.

I have been smoke free for 15 months, unlike others though I have not spent huge amounts of cash on vape gear, currently using a Mini Protank 2 on a Vision Spinner2. I am just about ready to start rebuilding my coils. I too have been looking at the Reo Grand LP/ rm2, SuperX has been a great help with advise and instruction, he seems to be the go to guy for Reo's. Check out his videos if you haven't already done so. Here is his latest, really long but we'll worth viewing.

Rebuildable Atomizer Tools - where to get, how to use, how to rebuild dual and single coil RDA - YouTube

The Reos Grand and the RM2 is still my go-to set up. The Grand is nearly indestructible, and the simplicity of the RM2 is hard to match. Since I prefer a cooler, smoother Vape I usually wrap my coils in the 1.3 to 1.5 ohm range for my RM2's. At this range I use a 'primer' puff, no big deal for an ex- tobacco pipe smoker. You can get a stronger, warmer vape by going sub-ohm, the Grand will do that, too.

Well, as my avatar sez... I HAZ A MAGMA!!!

:rickroll:

It's great! The flavor is every bit as good as in my Kayfun... I'll be playing with different builds, so it might even get better, but that it's at least as good as kayfun flavor, teeeeeeeeeeerific!

The draw is still a little easier than I prefer, even with just one of the smallest airholes open; I solved it, pretty much, by turning the ring just ever so slightly, so the hole is only partially open. Still a tiny bit more airy than I have my kayfun set, but the difference is slight, so I know I can get accustomed, as I did to the Kayfun when I first got it (the kayfun is a lot more airy than my old T3S tanks, even when the kayfun is pretty much all closed off).

Currently the build is 1.4Ω, 28ga on a 7/64. I still find the 28ga to be slow to heat, even with just 6 wraps, so I'll definitely be trying out my old reliable 29ga.

Does anyone know the exact length of wick which is best with the magma? I had a hard time making sure that the ends were actually touching the bottom of the well, the space is so small and my near-vision so poor. I put on my flip-down magnifying visor, but it's still difficult to see down in the well. Knowing a measurement would be tremendously helpful.

And I can already see that my next batch of strawberries and cream needs to be mixed to a lower mg; just the few hits I've taken to try it out, and I'm a bit dizzy -- no cloud chasing here, but it does seem to produce a bit more vapor, even with my very-conservative build.

If I want more vapor I just make a larger coil. I only use single coil, but then again I'm just a lowly kayfun noob.

A Kayfun is still the best vape I've ever enjoyed, nothing lowly about it. They're a piece of cake to build for, which isn't just great for noobs, it makes putting a new coil on a kayfun a very fast thing to do. Though I still exercise my profane vacabulary when trying to mount a coil in a kayfun, sometimes.... keeping that wire under that screw can sometimes be a real challenge. :D

Just got mine in the mail today also. Really liking this RDA. I am new at building coils. What fun.

Mine is a 1.08 ohm single coil. Vape is good and tasty.

I may just have to try one of those Kayfuns as well.

:)

You are NOT ALONE...... We are here, keeping from cigarettes and enjoying our "selves" I still use the same atties I used 3 years ago? My usual line up are dinosaur items; Odysseus V2 and Fatty V2. Pretty old stuff? I tried duals and not only was it harder for me and but honestly did not find any more satisfaction. I love a nice billowy cloud , but dont feel I need to fill the room with one puff.

I have bought a couple new atties and they will be set up with a humble single coil.

I tried some of the newer drippers and with all those holes for air and space for coils , it did not work out for me as a single coil just did not taste right on those.

I have noticed a sort of throwback to simple single coil designed drippers, with the new and very expensive and beautiful Hellfire types. Really when I look inside I see basically my Fatty, small and easy.

It's funny how unaware people are of actual atomizers. Still one of the best for tasting I feel. Avidvaper ones are good.
