Anyone notice that vaping is not as addictive as cigs? I've gone a week without cigs and vaping has kill all desire for a smoke. But I've also discovered that vaping is not as addictive as cigs. When I was a smoker, I need to smoke the first thing I wake up. Now, I vape after I shower and brush my teeth.

I hate to sound graphical..but here I go.. When I was in the military I actually experienced nicotine over dose... got IVed up and monitored for 24hrs.. But here we go.. I smoked 2 packs, ran out of cigarettes proceeded to chew on a box of nicotine gum 24mgs.. and finished off a can of chew.. This was during 9-11.. the night after my left arm went numbed, I was crapping green, and terrible stomach cramps.. But also it was the massive amount of caffeine I was drinking (which according to the doc was why I pissing blood).. I experienced the crapping green again last year when I was trying to quiet smoking by using nicotine patches..

I vape 3ml plus a day at 24-30something nicotine. I was a 2-4 cigar a day smoker and I inhaled. Only issues I've had is when the PG % is high I get irritation and sneeze a lot.
We all have different tolerance to anything. Analogy. Some people can drink a lot and not be falling down drunk when some will have two drinks and fall out.
Advice if you start to have problems cut back.
I am not a doctor nor have I played one on TV so this is just Life experience advice not medical.
Plus I'm still an FNG to vaping not to smoking.
My two cents worth hope it helps.

As you can see it's all relative...I vape at 36mg 2-3ml a day, and have since I started vaping with a hiatus from nic when I was pregnant. I'm in perfect health.

Coffee is too potent for me, a couple of glasses of wine make my head spin but I like ridiculously strong juice. 36mg with enough throat hit to choke Willie Nelson- all day every day. I've cut back at times, but usually wind up back at 36mg.

Ultimately vaping is healthier than cigarettes, and I think given that all the data on the safety of vaping isn't in- doing higher doses but fewer ml is probably a better idea. They can fix your veins, but they can't fix your lungs. That's my logic at least.

Just taper down if your ears start ringing a lot, or you feel tweaky.

Hi

I am a new vaper ... For about 4 months now and I am enjoying vaping flovours , specially swt once like RY4 and others like caramel, vanilla and so on ... But I am now on a VV Mod and I am getting through 8 ml to 10ml a Day ... Now I got my first hybrid gen the NGP and my DIY is down to 8 mg Nic ... Is that to much ...cos I am a bit worried that I'm getting worse then I was on real cigs?

I am around 3-4ml but I keep my nic incredibly low. I started around 16mg and have been dropping it steadily because I was getting headaches. Today I ordered some at 0 just to see if I could just do without.

Same here. For me it wasn't headaches, it was more feeling a little feverish/light headed. I'm surprised at the levels of nic some people use. I think it's also for me that I just enjoy the act of smoking more so than just wanting the nicotine. The nicotine is obviously some part of it, but when I was using 12-16MG stuff I just didn't feel good as much as I like to vape. I'm now using 8mg, and it seems to be a good level for me. I don't think I'd go to 0 - I like a little, LOL - but the different tolerances are interesting, because at the 16-20mg range it really was making me feel not so good.

If you feel sick from it, then your choices are either to cut down on total usage, or lower the mg/ml nicotine content. I personally just restarted vaping at the end of last month, and vape between 2 and 4 ml a day of 12mg, with no ill effects.

Like everyone has said, whatever keeps you off of analogs is Great, especially in the beginning.

"Worse" - does that mean how you feel? Or your nicotine levels?

I find myself explaining this to people a lot about vaping when they see me do it, as most people have heard about them at this point but I'm often the first person they actually have seen using them.

As far as I can tell, and from the reading I have done (I am *not* a medical professional, of course for actual medical advice you should talk to one), nicotine isn't "bad" for you, per se. No more than, say, caffeine. The levels and quantities can make you feel sick or you can get nicotine poisoning if you really consume too much, but you would have to try relatively hard to make that happen (just like if someone smokes a carton of cigarettes chain smoking one after another can do the same).

What gives you health problems like cancer are all the other things in analog cigarettes - the thousands of chemicals, the inhalation of smoke, etc. While nicotine can affect how you feel (see my post above), as far as I can tell that's the only concern with nicotine. Again, I'm no medical professional - but that's my understanding and experience. In any case, it's definitely better than analog, no matter how you cut it.
