I just put the spring from the subzeroX clone in the xxx clone I like it better like this.
I have two of these, for some reason one works better than the other. My second one gets used daily
The button is finicky, but once you get use to it, its not bad. That being said, if you have bigger/chubby fingers the button can be a PITA!
Did you get brass or copper?
Is the delrin screwed down tight on the button? You may need to file it down a bit.I got two brass. Maybe I should try the other and see if it performs better. The button press is pretty short for the one I tried I dunno why I can't get it to work right lol
Cleaning/servicing the switch voids the warranty?
Not alot of confidence in their own switch.
Thats a deal breaker for alot of people.
Speaking of switches, Im also not impressed with the "clutch" system in the broadside/admiral.
Sketchy knowing this o rings that stretch with every button press hold the switch together.
If one breaks, instant autofire.
So I decided to take my switch apart on my authentic subzerox cause I seen the inside had some patina. And can confirm it is the same spring as the shorty/legendary. So you can order the shorty switch rebuild kit from sub ohm innovations. In all the pics the authentic parts are on the left. The spring on the clone is about a 1/4" taller on the highest point than the subzeroX/shorty/legendary spring. The two short springs, the left one is the subzeroX the right is shorty/legendary. The only difference I can see is the clone housing the bottom piece before the threads is a little shorter then the authentic.![]()

That's exactly what I thought too. Unless you strip the screw or really screw something up they can't know for sure if you took it apartNot sure why Kindbright changed the spring, I told them the longer spring breaks the lock and makes the switch much rougher in use, no idea if they listened. the first bunch of SZX I got were all great. They are currently going on batch 3, who knows what they change this time.
As for the voiding the warranty part, not sure how they'd know past customer admission not really much to the switch, certainly nothing tamper proof.
You have one? Those o-rings are BEEFY. I'm not at all worried about the o-ring breaking. I have both the Broadside clone and the Admiral clone... they're currently on top of my list of favorite mechs along with the Tomahawk X clone.Cleaning/servicing the switch voids the warranty?

Yes. I'd go to home Depot or something with the spring you have from the clone and find something about 5/16" tall 9/32 to be exactSo out of that rebuild kit is all u can use is the spring out of it?
