could some one tell me the reason for the different ohms,,,or how do you decide which one that you need?
i am using ego twists,,ego T mod,,ego T upgrade..
also after i clean the R coil in hot water and let dry for several days,,it never seems to work like it did when it was new.
i have to prime it several times to get a good vape off it.![]()
Not that I'm an expert, but, as I understand it:
Low Resistance : 1.x ohms means the wire is bigger thus burning hotter. starting at 30 awg and going down from there. Using more power, lower battery life.
Standard : 2.x is what is most common in carto's & T3/CE3/etc.. Generally around 32 awg. Wire is smaller(more resistance) thus using less power meaning longer battery life.
I find on my Ego-C (3.3v output) the LR heads work best. Not as much vapor if using a Standard Res.(2.3-x)
On my X2(3.7v output) I find the Standard is fine.
On my Vision vv I can play with the voltage to fit the circumstances.
So low volt output device(3.3v) use Low Resistance, Moderate volt output device(3.7v) use Standard.
Use High Resistance on High output device generally up to 5v MODs.
As to cleaning, once you have cleaned the wick it probably alters the makeup of the fibers and requires longer to absorb the juice I would think. As long as you can get it to a good vape after priming, no big deal IMHO.
