Good bye to e-cigs on trains

Amtrak - Plan - Policies - Smoking Policy

In other words they are not worried about us getting sick in that car of smokers... they just want us to obey them no matter what excuses are no longer valid.

Second hand smoke - we take that away
cancer risk - removed
stink - gone!
Staining - Good bye
Lung/Eye irritation of others - Not even!

So we remove all the excuses... now what? We can't because we look like we are enjoying ourselves? or do the batteries interfere with the trains control systems? lol

I agree - their designation of 'smoking' and 'electronic cigarette' are waaayyy too ambiguous. Whoever wrote or signed off on that policy has probably never seen or heard of box mods like the Reo or the Revolution - about as far away as the commonly understood idea of 'electronic cigarette' (ie: analog lookalike) as one can get.

Stuff like this gets my goat, but I try to console myself with the fact that attitudes are changing. As vaping has become more and more common, I am encountering fewer people who haven't heard of them, and more that have heard about them but are wondering if they work. More and more doctors are coming over to our side. And it will become harder and harder for arbitrary rules like this to stand.

I used to care that people would confuse my vaping for smoking. I travel a lot for work though, and am no longer content going into a smoke-filled sealed smoking room to vape. So, now I just vape away wherever I am....yes, that even includes airplanes, but I hold my breath longer and blow out very little vapor.

Anyway....you know how many people have commented on it? Zero. They don't smell it, so they don't notice it.

Vape on, vapers! :)
