I'm amazed I'm not climbing the walls, or even uncomfortable right now! I've been vaping since about 2/5/11 & had cut way back on analogs, but was having a hard time giving them up completely. I guess that was ok for a while, but I really wanted to be free of the analogs. It seemed since I was still allowing myself to smoke, I was starting to smoke more again- give myself an inch & I take a mile!! I kept saying I won't buy anymore cigs after this pack, and I would buy more anyway. So Saturday night I thought "I'm not going to smoke tomorrow". And I didn't!! & I still haven't!! Yesterday I was just a little edgy & restless & unfocused. Used swedish snus 3 times throughout the day during the toughest times. Changed my living room around. Danced some to loud music. Drank alot of water. Didn't put the ecig down hardly at all! Whatever, it worked like a charm.
25 years of smoking, so it's been about 36 hours now without one, and I'm really doing ok!! I've learned so much in this forum!!! So glad I found ECF!!
I'm simply amazed at this process!

Congratulations!!!!!
These things are absolutely amazing! I don't know if you've tried this yet, but I keep some HIGH test nic juice around for those times that I really want to smoke. I normally VAPE 24mg ALL day long (6-10 ML per day) but I keep a second backup going of 36MG for those times, it REALLY helps! I'm going on a month, I still can't believe it! Good luck, and keep up the good work!

Thanks Rosa :)
I'm vaping anywhere from 24- 30ish mostly. Using fluxomizers-love vaping with the fluxos! It's funny, I can't really tell the difference in how I'm feeling from 18 to 36 mg's. I bought some 48 nic juice to DIY, & I made about 30mg strength, but I still want it higher I think. So supplementing with the snus for now, it really seems to help in those hardest times. Now that I've cut out the analogs, & will try to ease up on the snus, I should be able to get a clearer reading on how my vaping is affecting me & adjust accordingly. I'm also vaping some vendor bought juice labeled at 24mg, but I want more! Some juice from GotVapes, I like the gummy bear & really like the Mountain Rift, light & citrusy. I've tried making my own Chai tea (Yummy & spicy & nice TH!) Double chocolate, cappuccino, & tobacco. I think they turned out ok for being completely new at this. But still need MORE nic than the 30 I was aiming for, back to the lab! :)
Thanks Pneathery!! I will try to make some 36mg! & yes, I'm still having a hard time believing it too!
Thank you jj2!!
lostknitter, thank you!! Way to go for you too!!! what are you vaping?

You are on the right track! 24 works for most people, some folks need 36, and on rare rare rare occasion someone used 48... I'm way to scared to try 48 personally (though I don't know why, what's it going to do - make me dizzy? LOL).

Snus is definitely the way to go if vaping is almost but not quite enough in the beginning since there's always a good chance that you still need some of the "other stuff" that they put in tobacco.

Just hang in there! The more you vape, the less tobacco smokes will appeal to you. Heck, so many vapers started without any intention to quit at all - if it can work for them, it can work for anyone! It'll work for you too - you are on your way to a smoke free life!

Awesome! :)

Congrats to you and welcome to ECF,
After 40+ years, I quit on vape day 2 and it has been surprisingly easy. I started at 36mg nic and now I'm at 24. But more inportantly, I do not smoke anymore. Can't believe it.
Keep it up and you will be there as well. It's the best thing you could do and your body will thank you every remaining day of your life.:thumb:

I have an Inferno-T which I love, loaded with BWB Cherry Tobacco. I vaped Boba's Bounty all day yesterday, both at 18mg, which is working for me. I used to smoke Camel 9 100s, about a pack a day. I am still amazed at how easy this is. Every once in a while I get a quick "need to light a cigarette" thought, but I think that is more habit than anything.

Congratulations! If you are determined not to smoke a cigarette, and your PV is always with you, you can succeed. I smoked a pack a day, and now I use mostly 18mg. Don't get discouraged if you do smoke an occasional cigarette, what is more important are all the ones you've managed to avoid.

Good luck, finding this forum will definitely help you.

Thank you Rosa! I always enjoy running into your posts while I'm reading the forum, by the way :)
I got my DIY stuff from OneStopDIYShop- they're great to work with! Also Vapor4Life is where I got my starter kit (VaporKingUltimate KR8), & they're good to work with too, I'm just finding my preference to be a slightly tweaked fluxomizer for vaping. GotVapes have been good for the fluxo's & some juice too. That's all I've ordered from so far.
Lostknitter, I've heard good things about BWBm & Boba's Bounty too, heck I just want to try everything!! That could prove to be a bit of a problem, yikes!! :)
Thanks Rosco! I plan on sticking around!! Woo!!!

Thank you Brewlady! I think I'll make a deal with myself that if I still want a cig when I turn 90, well ok then! :) really I'm afraid if I give in at all at this point, I'll just be setting myself up for future justification. But it's good to know it wouldn't be the end of the world, but I'm going to try not to go there. I just think I need to be absolutely firm with myself on this right now. I tried being easy & gentle with myself for a few weeks & found that I was taking atvantage of my good nature and smoking more. Enough is enough! :)
