I started out smoking with Marb Reds at $1.35. After they started climbing I went to Camels at $1.49 per pack. After that climb I always told myself if they ever hit $3.00/pk I would quit. As prices started climbing, I would buy the next cheapest smoke. After Camels came Magnas, Basics, Ligget (Yes, too legit to quit) at $2.25 a pack. When they climbed higher I went to smoking little Mauriel Sweet Cigars at $1.00 /pk of 20. Then they hiked the tax on them to $3.89-$5.00 quickly depending on where purchased. Luckily Phillies Cigars came before that hike and was I was back down to $1.70 from $2.69 Nice thing about those is that many people didn't bum them as they were cigars.
I quit after 28 years when my son one day told me that I stunk when I came in after a smoke. I had previously tried vaping on the cig-a-like with almost great success that I gave vaping another try. It had worked this time and quit my $60/ month habit for a $1.72/ month habit. Never paid more than $3.00 so I never quit.
Will never look back on them now that I see the benefits and my family is happy that I do not smoke anymore!!!
