At this point, I'm sort of dream shopping for a Chuck. I'm in the cooldown period with my wife at the moment. (waiting for time to pass before spending more money)Perhaps waiting all the way till fathers day...

Anyways, I've been trying to find the perfect graphic for my future Chuck for days now, when suddenly it hit me in the face, I've found it.

My problem lies in resizing it, just can't seem to get it there without messing with the quality of the image, also not sure if this picture is to wide, would it overlap around the Chuck? Another problem is deciding on rendering it and placing it on a more detailed background.

Problems aside, if any PS savy folks stumble across this thread, someone who could fit this onto a Chuck for preview of sorts, that would make me do like this ---> :D

Just added a little bit of black to the edges, this would fit a 2.85" X 4.5" chuck (regular). Let me know if you want it as I will send you the higher res photo.

Sure if You've got a higher res photo that would be awesome. :)

Button gonna be in the middle of the hat?

Also, you mention a "more detailed background". Do you want the black to be metallic flake? Or did you have something else in mind? I'd recommend sending it in to Jeff as he knows best what will/won't work and what will/won't look best.

I was thinking the just below the button, to avoid the hat having a button on it, lol.

As for a more detailed background, was thinking I didn't want the plain black in the photo to be so... plain. You mentioned metallic flake, that sounds awesome I'd totally go with that.

You don't need it in higher resolution but if it's available it never hurts.

What you're actually looking at then is NOT a full wrap. It's the image, printed and cut out, applied over a metallic flake body. Jeff can position the image at the correct height (it's a little high now but that won't matter as he won't actually print the black background).

Ok so I found a new image I like, then took the chuck template posted in other threads, and worked my image over it. This is where I get confused... I don't have a printer and have no idea what size my image is actually going to be. While working on the image in PS I made sure it was 2.85"x4.5", but it appears much larger? Is that just the way it looks on my screen due to my display settings or what?

I dunno but here it is, hopefully someone who knows what there doing can catch a glimpse of this post and tell me if this pic will work.

That I can do. Preview on a Mac has "adjust size"

The ratio is basically perfect. If you make it 2.8" wide, it is 4.45" tall.

If you want a Little Chuck, Jeff can just crop some of the plain black from the top and the bottom. (I'd recommend taking a little more from the bottom than the top to ensure the button doesn't interfere with the head.)

ETA: The ratio is what matters. Jeff can make it bigger or smaller but if the ratio isn't right, adjusting that will distort the picture. (Mine was a little off and there was some black mush at the top and bottom he needed to trim so I didn't know how far off it was. But I tested it and it looked exactly the same whether I warped it or not so I told him to go ahead and distort it.)

So I'm good to go then, this will work?
