*sigh* I don't seem to be getting much luck on the clearo front. Had some CE3s (I think) that leak constantly or are burny. Got an ego vision v2 long wick which despite a good start it seems to be wicking too much and is leaking onto the batt/bubbling when I inhale.

What am I doing wrong? I love the idea knowing how much juice you have but I'm worried I am going to short the batt (an ego-t without the 5 click shut off booo) and after I just bought it I don't want to damage it.

Feeling a but despondent. :( reassure me guys or tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Muchos appreciados

Hi, I share your pain I really do. I too started off on Clearos/Smokeys but soon got sick and tired of leaks, burny tastes etc :( I decided that I had three choices 1) go back to the standard skycig cartomisers, 2) give up and go back to analogues or 3) bite the bullet and buy something else. I went with option 3, I put my hand in my pocket and bought a 3.5ml DCT. But I also know people that love the clearos and would argue that they are the best thing since B&H! I myself had nothing but problems :( Chin up and if a DCT is a viable option, go for it :)

Wow! I love to drip and still drip the majority of time when I am stationary. I purchased some regular 'ole vision clearomizers (with the short wicks) for my 510 and 808. I have had no issues at all with either of them. In fact I find them better than any other carto or tank I've tried. I would suggest the thread for cartomizers/clearomizers to get the help you need. Have you been cautious about not getting liquid in the hollow center tube of your clearo?

I never had any luck with clearomizers, but always liked the idea. Based on a few Youtube reviews from people I respected, I tried the Phoenix Bottom Coils from Gotvapes. I've been really impressed with the flavor (Everything up to this point I've tried was muted, and dry hits were common), and haven't got any leaking or dry hits.

Well I will say that I'm getting a bit tired of us being used for Vision's bata testers. They need to be doing their own R&D before they bring a product to market instead of sending all these different versions of the same product to market for us to sort out. I spent half the day yesterday figuring out why the "latest & greatest" Vision eGo was blowing the MOSFET ckts in eGo bats. Turns out to be as simple as people are pushing the wick/coil out of position when putting the plastic tube back on causing a partial short.

I agree and am amazed at the amount of of tweaking we have to do to get this stuff working properly- PVs and accessories.

Yeah, but it's because people keep putting up with it. What can you do? Even when they get yelled at and verbally abused by a certain vendor when they point out products hit the market with design flaws. A lot seem to actually enjoy this treatment - they buy stuff that's supposed to work, it doesn't work, they fix it for the vendor and then a revision is made; unfortunately, the revisions usually bring in new issues. And nobody, ever, gets a refund. And in spite of everyone having the same problem over and over again, there are the invisible "98%" of the buyers who never have any issues and, according to the vendor, you're always either dumb or unlucky. I'm done with Vision for good. Sorry for the rant.

Well I don't know about "ever".
Electricnicstix replaced about a half dozen eGo bats yesterday free of charge because of the problem along with refunds for the clearos.

I wasn't talking about them. Jason has always been an awesome vendor for me! I'm talking about another vendor, but I won't name them....

Since elfstone is being overly kind by not giving the name of that vendor, I will be the heavy and tell you all it's Got Vapes.

Anyhow, to the original point here. For the past six months I've been buying these:

    510 Ultimate CE2 Clearomizer XL

They require a tiny tiny bit of fooling with which I will describe below:

    1. Remove the rubber plug mouth piece, remove 1 inner thin o-ring.

    2. I use a binder clip piece. Just remove one of the metal pieces from a medium sized binder clip, it's got a nice little hook on it already that works great for this. If you don't have a binder clip, you can fashion a paper clip into a little hook. Now use the hook to pry up on the final inner ring here. It is important that you apply pressure to where one of the wicks meets the notch. Look for it. Put your pressure there. It will take some amount of medium force. Pull it all the way out.

    3. You can drip from the bottle down the sides to fill.

    4. refit the inner ring and o-ring. Install a drip tip or the mouth piece that came with it. Vape.

    5. If you are using at 3.4-3/7 device, get the 2.4 ohm. They are also sold in sizes that will fit 808 batteries if you need that.

This all sounds more difficult than it is.

If you leave your PV on its side for any length of time, yep theres gonna be a bit of leaking. I always keep mine right side up. If I know I'm going some place where I can't leave it right side up, I use a regular poly fill carto or tank.

As an aside, the "fluxomizers" that GV sells, are called the CE2 plus at MVS. It's the exact same product. If you don't mind syringe filling, these hardly ever leak:

    510 CE2 PLUS Clearomizer XL

MVS sells these a lot cheaper than GV. They also ship them about 20 minutes after you place the order. As an added benefit you aren't supporting the maniacs who run GV.

    Hope all this helps.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with a "clearo black cloud" following them. I've tried a ton of them and while all the reviews and comments trumpet the wonders of clean taste and ease of use, mine always end up clogged/burnt/leaking/juice mouth/condensation/etc... Exclusively back to 3.5ml DCT tanks with Boge 3.0 single coil cartos.
