It is originating with Campaign for Tobacco-free Kids (Matt Myers), the American Lung Association, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society. They issued a joint "policy statement" on e-cigarettes, brimming with lies. CASAA responded with our own Position Statement refuting every point. http://www.casaa.org/files/CASAA Position Statement.pdf

Awesome job CASAA! Definitely need to pound them over the head to get the incorrect information to stop being used as fact! I found it amusing (not funny ha ha, but funny sad) that the guy in the video keeps saying, "not yet" in response to using pv's as an alternative to analogs. Something that has been around since 2003 isn't exactly new! The subtext there is, "not yet, because we have to start getting kick backs and making money off of them before we will condone them." Too bad, because once again, it shows that it's really not the "people" that are of concern, it's the cash.

The CASAA needs to update the policy statement with the Appeals Court ruling. I wish we could sue all those organizations for disseminating false information and make them attempt to prove their propaganda. If they cannot prove it,they should be forced to retract it.I fear that is a pipe dream.

Well it's a good thing our doc backs our use of ecigs. Went to the doc for strep throat last week, put me on antibiotics for that and took me off of my B/P meds. My B/P is now normal without meds after being stroke high back in Feb of this year. Doc is very happy that hubby and I have quit smoking cigarettes. It is now in our medical records that we don't smoke and haven't smoked since July.
